R.I.C.O.
We will finish...... 6th. Same brilliant start, same hopeless finish. We will get dumped out of Europe early but will have a cup run in at least one of the others. Gabby to get 15 goals before the New Year and then fail to score another. Heskey to run around, fall flat on his arse and then spend the next 10 minutes trying to stand up. Ashley will run around, fall over a lot and then spend the rest of the games hobbling and holding his shin. John Carew to play one blinding game and then go missing for the next 10. Carlos to stay at right-back and continue his "Delap" style throws, which end up going straight to the 'keeper. Captain Fantastic to jog around, pass sideways, point a lot and then vanish after the hour. MON to use the "small squad", "he hasnt had a proper preseason" line ad infinitum. Hanky
Carlos to stay at right-back and continue his "Delap" style throws, which end up going straight to the 'keeper. Bit off the mark there. They never usually reach the keeper.

The_Rev
Somewhere in the group of teams which finish between 5th and 8th. I think our closest rivals in the table will be Spurs, Everton, Manchester City & Liverpool. And yes, that is a depressingly dull prediction, isnt it? DeepDish
I do as I did last year and go for a 5th place. But will be happy with 6th.

NowDoINotLikeThat
Seriously 10th?? Who is going to be finishing above us in that scenario then? Worse we could do is 7th-8th imo - Any suggestions of lower are just being silly and deliberately negatiove for no real reason.
Irish_Villain
Man U, Chelsea, Arsenal, Liverpool, City and Spurs. At this moment in time on paper their squads are all better than ours. So unless there's some excellent players brought in, we'll finish 7th IMO.
legov
Funny that, the four who voted that we would win the league.

ThunderPower_14
Sixth-Eighth, flirting with the top 4 until March when we lose 4 in a row and get overtaken by Arsenal, Liverpool, Spurs, Man City and possibly Everton.

Jon
Worse we could do is 7th-8th imo... How is that the worst we could do? :? The worst we COULD do is bottom, but that is highly unlikely to to happen. and, given the probable loss of Milly and injury to Delph, plus other outgoings, an upper mid table finish is not out of the question. To finish say 9th would only need the likes of Arse, Utd, Chelsea, Liverpool, Citeh, Spurs, Evernot, plus 1 other like The Noses or Sunderland for example to have a good season. BG_Villa_Fan
It's a good thing to read last year's poll. Gives perspective and explains a lot.
Ogen
Chelsea United City Arsenal Liverpool Spurs/Villa Spurs/Villa Everton Can see Spurs slip back down away from it all with a bit of a Champions League hangover. Can see the top 5 being a bit of a distance ahead of us and Spurs.
