AVTuco Posted March 13, 2018 VT Supporter Share Posted March 13, 2018 I think he tried, but maybe too much?
Vive_La_Villa
He’s worst game for us this season. Struggled to get in to the game and you could see his frustration. I’m sure he will be back to his best on Saturday.
deeps
He is a player that will look like a world beater when we play well and win. He will look the opposite if we lose. There are many skillful flair players like him who would have the same issue. Still massively important for the run in
sidcow Posted March 13, 2018 VT Supporter Share Posted March 13, 2018 Let's be honest, this is his first bad game this season but he was one of 11 players who all had a nightmare. He did revert to last seasons annnoying habit which held him back which was failing to move the ball on quickly enough, he lost this seasons fluidity which has been propelling us forwards. To much dwelling with the ball and too much trying for the Hollywood pass or dribble when a neat quick pass and move would have served us far better. Hopefully it's one bad game and he moves on.

And so he should because he's a superb player and self confidence goes hand in hand with excellence. Sometimes even really good players have a bad day. Honestly they do.
Keyblade
He had a bad game, but he was still by far our best player and the only one making things happen. His skill is unquestionable.

It's just that the final play after this bit never quite worked.
Stevo985 Posted March 13, 2018 VT Supporter Share Posted March 13, 2018 When Jack Grealish is easily losing the ball and misplacing passes, you know it's a bad night

We need to be able to cope in those circumstances as we have enough talent in the squad

vreitti
It's a good thing he hasn't been called up now. Smaller risk of injury, and all this means he'll have to perform even better for us, if he really wants to make it to Russia.
The_Rev
He's not going to make the Russia squad. Take the Villa coloured glasses off, Southgate already has to work hard to win over a sceptical fanbase and picking an unproven kid from the Championship who has missed half the season through injury isn't going to do him any favours is it?
