Agreed. Grealish was just a very good player for us. Nothing more, nothing less. Certainly no legend. He didn't do enough to merit that. Its since come out that he has always seen us as beneath him with his angling for moves to Spurs, United and then anyone who would meet his clause. Since moving, he has had a patronising tone toward the club he loves which I find very strange but it backs up loud and clear the fact we arent big enough for him. “This but in Red” certainly wasnt a slip of the finger now we know he thought he was definitely going to be going there after 19/20. Football for Villa fans is far too tribal for all this to be forgotten. He got his dream move, but all the people that think we should thank him and wish him well can do one. Anyone who is condescending about Villa makes my blood boil let alone someone who was a hero to the whole fanbase, and led us to all believe he bought into what NSWE were planning. He'd already made his mind up that if a CL club came in then he would leave, which in some ways is worse than a transfer request because it's further pre-meditated that if he did well he would leave. The value of 100m, would've then been negotiated between his agent and Villa with him wanting it lower and the club higher (despite what publicly they say).
