Perhaps it isn't about the colour of the shirt you wear or the competitions you play in, perhaps it's about being a professional. Will be interesting to see if magical Pep can clean him up. The man has done a lot for our club, I hope he will do more and get us into europe, but if he wants to go and the club gets a lot of money for him, good luck to him. Putting any player ahead of the club like this, for me, is madness. He didn't do any of those things single-handedly. I will be shocked if he isn't loudly booed every time he plays against us too. Whilst I am appalled by booing the kneeling, I feel that Grealish will thoroughly deserve any booing he receives from Villa fans. I am intrigued about how he will react to it though. He doesn't go with my blessing, I don't understand his decision on any level and I've never been keen on his private behaviour. The only reason I liked him was because he was a Villa player, the only reason I was proud of him was because he was a Villa academy product. If he's gone then he's just another overpaid party boy with stupid hair. I just hope we can do what the likes of Brentford and on a bigger scale Leicester, Leverkusen and Dortmund have all done and invest the big fee into improving the whole squad and actually having more success without him than we did with him!
