Release Hourihane? Release to do what exactly? 🤣

Release the shackles on him

Barkley out with hamstring and is likely to be out for a few weeks. Hopefully Conor gets his chance now.

'gets his chance', lol.

You make him out to be a new, high profile signing who has yet to get a run out to show us what he can do.
Conor is an excellent servent to this football club but is a championship player at best. He's way off it at this level and I can't enivsage he is going to make much of a difference if he is given a start. He certainly won't fill the Barkley void.

If Barkley is unavailable all other options are worse than Conor imo

He has been shackled? This is outrageous. The human race has not seen the likes of it since Serfs were shackled during medieval times. I know we think footballers should put up with anything due to their high salaries but this is unacceptable.

Although him being shackled might expalin his horrendously slow turn of pace.

It would be devastating for the fans to lose Grealish, even for the kind of money that's being mooted.

We could reinvest the money into three players though, which would help out with the squad depth while keeping a decent level of quality, but you get the feeling that teams would be looking to fleece us if they knew we'd just received a windfall like that.

Citeh announce they've lost interest in Messi then are linked with Jack for £100m.

Translated "Pull your finger out Barca or you're going to have to keep paying the player money you really can't afford anymore"

Its kinda wooden dollars.....you are right.....it just creates inflation and we pay more for any new players.

thats assuming we spend the money wisely, anyway.

If this summer was any indication, I'm not worried about how we'd spend the money tbf.
