He could be the first 200,million pound, player. Especially if he shines at the Euros.

Between this and some posters genuinely seeming to believe we'll be in a title race this season, I think it's safe to say people are losing the plot.

He can press but isnt as intense as others is my point. Southgate example sums it up 😜

said during the wales game when we played a front 3 vs a back 4, he can press but England don't press as a team, he's not going to do doggies chasing the back 4 whilst DCL and ings stand on and watch

why not? because he's not a **** idiot

if Southgate considers that a quality in mount then fair play to him, the key for me was the whole sentence, move the ball forward quickly and press, also know as kick and rush...pump the ball forward aimlessly then chase up the pitch to box them in, that's not grealish, thankfully its not smith either, if southgate did an organised well coached high press like klopp then im sure jack's got enough about him to do it, theres a huge difference between pressing and chasing the ball

For him to be worth an extraordinary fee we would need to finish Top 4. if we do that and he has been instrumental in getting us there, then yes he absolutely would be £150m+.

On the basis we have a squad (despite £200m being spent in the past couple of years) an upper mid table first XI and a mid table squad overall.

Also you'd have to think the extra income along from the group stages of the champions league would be what £50m?

Add in additional sponsorship and tickets etc Villa achieving that would be a solid £75m.

We would be able to demand £150m for Grealish if we hit Top 4.

He doesn't need to, we have McGinn who is the scottish Mane when it comes to pressing. His work rate allows Jack to do his thing.

this is a bit daft...

for him to be worth £150m he would need 30m+ Instagram followers and huge individual deals with nike or adidas and then the likes of pepsi featuring in their adverts

there's his value to us, his value on the pitch and then most importantly his value off it

bar sterling and his puma boot deal and them potentially making him the face of the brand in the states there's no English footballer doing much of anything, that's why if you watch all or nothing the first thing jose says to kane is we need to grow you off the pitch, its why Pogba is worth as much as he is and why he just got his "laughable" new deal, his actual performances on the pitch don't matter any more

that's why he's worth so much to us as a club and why I think Ed wanted him at united even if Ole probably doesn't need him

Gabby is a really good pundit

He's absolutely right as well. People criticize him for holding onto the ball for too long, but so often he's able to do something useful with it when he does. He knows what he's capable of, so it's worth the risk because it pays off so regularly.

He probably has the vision to do 2 touch football, but where's the fun in that anyway?

That is a good point and not thought of it like that.

Definitely something the Club should look at a lot more with Jack, especially if we continue this form and start to get noticed wider by other countries.

It will be offered to him on a plate the second he wins a competitive game for England. The marketability sky rockets.

im guessing its why Mings has joined Roc Nation Sports

if he starts getting his face plastered on American TV then his value to aston villa is more than £24m
