Well give them a chance. They said they will discipline. Just because they haven’t done anything yet doesn’t mean they won’t.

Thats true.

Its just a vibe, i get.

Had social media been around 25 years ago and everyone went around with a camera I doubt very much I'd have gotten to see too much of the likes of Merson and McGrath. They'd have been on the front of the rags pretty much every week and based on this thread there may well have been enough of us to force them out the club.

Many many loved players just wouldn't make it today because of their behaviour.

But most of them wouldn’t behave like that today.  Totally different environment these days.

It’s brought out the football tribalism in me.

So many noses desperately tweeting WMP and going on about mythical CCTV footage, that I’ve gone from thinking we should throw the book at him, to wanting him to get away with it all, just to shut them up.

Pretty sure it was a dirty Nose who took the pictures too 🤔

To be fair he's gonna have to burn the old one after seeing that Zulu clearing in the woods sprawled all over it

Maybe Scott Hogan needs a new-ish whip? A few dings but it's his for 1 weeks salary.

In terms of discipline, the  club have got it right so far i think. He's been given the maximum fine available (and no doubt a stern talking to) for breaking the guidelines on staying at home. By doing that quickly the club have left themselves the ability to add further punishment if any further information comes out in relation to behaviours on the night - seems sensible to me. I suspect the captaincy will be removed.

I hope the captaincy is removed for the right reasons...not JUST punishment.

He has displayed the behaviour of a weak minded individual a strong character would have resisted the temptation and declined the offer to socialise, with another weak minded individual, what Jack is doing sharing his time with these types is worrying in itself.

No, we want strong leaders leading us on the pitch, he has blown his cover with this.

and if he was given the captaincy as a sweetner, that is another wrong decision and i would suspect not a good move to motivate the rest of the team.

We have to make the right decisions, for the right reasons.

Yep nice one, I didn’t say “I don’t care if lots of people died” but you crack on, in fact go and find that post....

Finding out you are a teacher was the least surprising thing I’ve ever read on here...

Your posts on the corona thread and this make me think you've had some tough experiences with people through your life. It's easy to argue as nameless people on a football forum but things are beginning to feel more real, even on here.

You know what. I apologise. We've always clashed over football and I've taken the piss at times. But I guess all this shit in the world right now makes you more aware of things. And actually while this is a football forum, football is feeling less and less important.

I genuinely mean it. Apologies for the clashes we've had in the past, it seems so ridiculous at the moment that we've argued over managers. And its ridiculous that I've posted that response just earlier today. I shouldn't have. Sorry.

Hi @JAMAICAN-VILLAN, no issue with what you picked up on but I did make reference to the point that he "seemed" to have cleaned up his act and I "hoped" it wasn't true - he's a young bloke, not exactly street smart when it comes to choice of friends and a multi-millionaire.  I realise that spells pi**head in any language but he was given the captains armband and has pretty much spearheaded our winning run back into the premier league.  Until the last few games he was still arguably running the show since we returned.... I've just seen the local news and team statement that "he's a very naughty boy for going out and has been fined" - nothing more or less said. Although I did wonder if I'd misheard a monty python sketch..

Unless he was going to be charged I expect that to be the end of the matter as otherwise it would be "no comment" whilst an investigation was ongoing.  What I was really getting at is the place this all happened is a hot bed for dickhead Bluenoses, that and maintaining an innocent until proven guilty stance is the only thing we can do until concrete evidence proves otherwise.  The evidence has just been on the local BBC news..

Even when the world is in lockdown and no games are being played, the Noses are still obsessed with us!  😉

But he was born and brought up in solihull, which is predominately blues country, so he naturally gravitates to that neck of the woods.....but i do share your point.

Most Villa players have traditionally hung around Sutton coldfield.

Neymar was caught on a beach in Brazil when he should be self isolating.

Will be a few other players caught out in coming weeks

Did Neymar release a video instructing the public to not leave their houses hours before?

Was Neymar partying with a highly toxic ex-teammate?

Did Neymar crash his Range Rover into several cars?

Did Neymar sheepishly leave the scene heavily intoxicated?

Be that as it may, those knuckle dragging scumbags arent to blame, Jack Grealish is.

If a couple of Villa fans took pictures of *insert name of shithouse Bluenose player* then we'd be having a right giggle about it.

I don't know if the latter part of this is genuine or if you're trying to be funny but you don't tend to apologise to people whilst still making a dig if there's any element of sincerity about it.

We fundamentally disagree on everything - it's not just Managers, but that's cool, shit happens and I certainly don't want or need an apology, I doubt I'm 'right' all the time as much as I doubt I'm 'wrong' all the time so the truth probably sits somewhere between our two ends of the spectrum (on any given issue).

I suggest the best foot forward is to return to ignoring eachother.

They've only got about 3 players I'd recognise, and 2 of them played for us.
