For all of the gliding past players and the sheer skill on show, my favourite part of the video is how he treats the mascot right at the start. Maybe I’m getting sentimental in my old age but I love how he appreciates how special that experience is for the young girl.

Completely agree with this. I always see comments from fans of other teams about him being really talented, but a scumbag.

Any Villa fan knows he is a top guy and really cares about the community around the club and I can't wait for other fans to see this side of him. They'll still hate him because of his hair and socks, but you can't win 'em all!

Agbonlahor is our all time leading Premier League goalscorer, to say he never developed and is a terrible player is pretty disrespectful in my opinion.

Granted the way his career ended at Villa was nothing short of a disgrace, but from 2006 to 2010/11 he was unplayable and a huge part of the MON era.

I think a large part of his lack of development was our doing, we changed his role, seemingly changed his training, got him on the weights, he got fat, he got lazy, in a better environment with a better coaching set up, maybe even with a better medical set up, he would have gone on to be a much better player than what he ended up being

if utd had signed him instead of nani at say 21, so 2007, under Fergie, in teams with Ronaldo, rooney, Tevez, van persie etc so used sparingly rather than being considered a key player, he'd have done ok for himself

It's now almost a certainty that he will replace Maddison in the next England squad, and then just as has happened with Mings the nation will fall in love with Grealish as we have done. Really looking forward to people who have ridiculed him for his shin pads, his hair, his 'diving, to finally appreciate his talents as a footballer.

the problem is Maddison hasn't even been given the chance he deserves, cant get past mount and barkley, he still hasn't played a game, the casino incident means he'll probably get dropped as a slap on the wrist

Lallana also scored at the weekend so don't be surprised if he comes back and then there is always going to be the emergence of foden

my expectation from England is not good

I don't think it's disrespectful to not rate a player, it's opinion.

I didn't say that he didn't play well at times, I'm just saying i found the last 5 years of him being with us such a disgrace that I don't look back fondly on him at all.

He could play in any team in the world.

He's adding goals to his game, which he credits to Deano telling him to get in the box (like on Sat).  He's got beautiful balance, he glides, he very rarely gifts possession (ignore Spurs game), his choice of and weight of pass is extremely good, his range of passing is getting better, he buys free kicks in dangerous areas and he works incredibly hard when we lose possession.

Where could he improve?  Long shots when coming in from the left wing and finessing them to the far corner (he's tried quite a few and not many come off), his strength will improve as he gets older.  Sometimes if he lays a ball off, he doesn't anticipate it coming straight back, he nearly didn't score the Rotherham goal because he thought he was done.

Just little, coach-able things and he'll be a great.

I obviously hope he'll stay with us for many years to come, but should he choose to leave in the future, or should the club accept an offer - he'll be impossible for us to replace (a like for like with as much skill).  He'll be at one of the top clubs and he'll be an absolute superstar.

I think he's more effective than Pogba already - and I mean that.

He's a superstar.

If he was Portuguese or Spanish or another nation people expect to have tricky player he would be 100mil+ and probably rated as highly as joao Felix. For me he is the best player outside the 'top 6' and outside city and Liverpool I can only definitively say eriksen, auba and lacazette are better than him.

Tbh it was the same with Beckham (and I was as guilty as anyone on that front), then his desire and quality won everyone over mostly because of what he did for England.  I think it's just a matter of time before everyone wakes up to what a joy Jack is to watch.

Thanks for the video, great to watch! You can see the Brighton players are fearful when up against him as they just do not want to commit and end up being mugged off...which then happens anyway lol.

I don't think there is another player in the league you can compare him to and the England team certainly do not currently have a player like Jack, not even close.

Looking forward to the Man City game because we should go out there and have a crack. If we lose we lose but we've given Spurs and Arsenal something to think about and maybe we can go one better this time.

I'm sooooo friggin' bored of other fans talking about his look.

He could score the winning goal in the final of the world cup and there'd still be some unorignal nob in the crowd saying "yeah, but have you seen those silly, tiny socks?"

Honestly, I think it's the ultimate compliment. It means they don't have anything legitimate to complain. The boy is just that good.  So they have to fall back to complaining about his hair, or his socks, or his tiny shorts (okay maybe not yet but soon 😆). I hope Pool and ManC have the same complaints.

I think he will have another big game against city. Pep, will release Foden isn’t a patch in him, will fall in love with him and set about taking him to city to replace David Silva (for me they have very similar styles). Edens and Sawris will tell them to **** off and we’ll end up replacing them in Europe next season

(only the last 10 words are an exaggeration)

It was recently claimed he was 6'2 as well. You can never really know how tall athletes actually are unless you see them in person.

That 6'2 was just Dion Dublin talking dube-ious bollocks.

Jack's "official" height is 1.75m which is 5'9. Add the hair on and he's about 5'11. (I imagine the confusion is because 1.75m = 5.7 feet, but there are 12 inches in a foot.)

But yes you can't trust athlete's heights. They tend to inflate them for obvious reasons - and probably, like the rest of us, because it looks better on Tinder.
