Sunday’s match got me thinking -are we so Grealish focused (as we should be) when Grealish is playing that when he isn’t playing or has a rare off game it’s almost like we have to learn an entire new system?? And subsequently our attack goes to s***?

As soon as the system changed and players came on - players seemed to take more responsibility for being creative than I have seen since Grealish went out...

I think we all mostly get into a panic mode at the thought of no Grealish because every other clubs fans see us as a team that can't win without Jack. We panic so much that we've let others get to us about Grealish being the one that wins us games or they make it sound like we wonly do with him in the team.

I think our Team have alot of work to do in putting those words of (Villa are a one man army) to bed. I think let Grealish rest and recover because while the season has us safe and not really needing points unless we go for Europe, our lads could do all they can to concentrate on just winning games and make themselves look like they do not need Grealish in the side. Everyone has to have there mind changed who looks at us like we can't play football without Jack and unfortunately the only way to do that is to win while he's not in the side.

It surely can't be much of a confidence boost knowing everyone is looking at you in a team with Grealish and commenting like your only winning because if one player. It isn't true regardless as it takes a team to win and any club without there main stars would struggle to win there normal rate of games they would do when they have those stars available..

As a fan base we have to just ignore the fans that suggest those things which in turn make us think and feel like we can't do without our main player. We just have to think if Jacks there he's there, if he's not then they have to do what they can to win. Just like our players have to think and believe is that they can pull wins as they have shown now against Leeds and Fulham that they are capable of it without Grealish.

the longer they play together and be a settled squad which most likely may not even be next season considering we may have yet more new arrivals, they will continue to get those remarks from other clubs fans and media. Another reason for the Grealish is a one man army player is because he's so damn good and they will say all they can to throw a spanner in the works and rule people up.

we do need to become less Grealish focused, especially the threating about losing him and another club coming in and buying him. News pops up every week and someone on VT goes nuts over it. Simple we are not the club we used to be, we have ace Owners who are rich, who go about the game much differently than any Owners we've ever had. Our other Owners would of got rid of Grealish by now but not NSWE, I'll even put a bet that I think Grealish will be here till after he hits 30..

Right now I couldn’t care less about rumours of us selling him or give a shit what other fans think of us. . It would be just nice to see him play a game.

We do rely on Jack lately it's true. However, we have a solid back 5 and the makings of a decent midfield and attack. We just need the defensive and creative specialists ( CAM and CDM ) one hell of a RW and competition and potentially a partner for Watkins. Plus full backs.

Work to do,  but doable.

It would be yes but if it can't happen it can't happen because he needs to heal. The post before mine which you answered to was how we are becoming to Grealish focused, so I answered with some of the reasons why we are to focused and you just moved past that.

Right at this moment of the season we do not need him unless were chasing Europe which to be honest i do and don't want us in. I do because a much much better calibre of player will want to join us if they know we're going to Europe. I don't because we do not have a big enough squad for Europe, we wouldn't likely last long because our quality and depth isn't anywhere near what the big five is let alone some of Europe's.

So really if Smith wants to chase Europe by all means we need to hurry him back however if not then we do not need Grealish back for the remainder of the season really. If no Grealish, Smith can use that time to surely get his team playing right and finding the system that works for when Grealish is not in the side. Sure we all want him to play but I just think there are more positives if we don't have him playing unless and again I'll say it we are chasing Europe.

I would much rather we use a remainder of the season like this to have our players minds right and to learn to fully function together without the whole Grealish one man army motion being a thing every game.

Ten games left is it?? And are we five points behind a Europe place with a game in hand?? We have to make sure Jack is perfectly fine or not risk at all. To risk it would be really bad, to bad that we could be risking an awful lot and could possibly be risking next season and an even better possibility of europe and a league place if we hurry Grealish back and I'd rather we be careful.

Grealish has been out for seven games, we''re tenth in the form guide based on those games, that's actually better than if you look at our form over the last ten and twelve games when Grealish was still playing. And we're actually fourth in the form table over the last five games, only Liverpool, Manchester United and Manchester City have taken more points from their last five games.

Our 'poor' form began whilst Grealish was still in the team, and we're getting better at coping without him.

Is that right about 4th in the form table over our last five games. Havent we won one in five?

If you look at the last 5 played for all teams we are tied 15th with Burnley in the form table on 5 points out of 15.

Only Wolves, Sheffield, Fulham and Newcastle are worse.

12th if go by last 6 games which is what is commonly used. Still should be better considering we played Newcastle and Sheffield United in that time.  Smith was right when he said most the league is struggling to find form at the moment bar Man City.

Absolutely.

Something else we've been crap in the last 10 years (including the very successful ones under Smith) is winning points when we've been shit. That's some very decent points accumulation with some very poor performances.

Grealish won’t be fit by Saturday.

Many are clutching on straws.

Also, I find the mass amount of speculation about him addicted to drugs ect very weird.

Let’s support whatever team is out there on the pitch.

It's a fairly logical conclusion given his distant past form, and the supposed fact that a premier league first team player somewhere is under going rehab for it.  Some ITK have claimed they know for sure that it isn't Jack, but when they can't name their source or provide evidence they're never going to be trusted and others will jump to their own conclusion.

Let's hope he's back for games we are more likely to be able to win. Liverpool having lost 6 in a row at their place may mean it's more winnable than normal, and they'll have an eye on trying to turn over their champions league deficit,  but they're still favourites and we'll need to be a lot better than we were last game to avoid losing.

What eviddnce is there to suggest jack is in rehab? He's been putting photos up of him at home with his feet up watching football, doing interviews, at VP watching 1st team and academy games and training last week. I thought you were pretty much locked away in  rehab centre for addictions.

Apart from that, the only other pointers are that he crashed his car last year and was photographed pissed on holiday as a teenager.

If thats the case every single poster on here is in rehab.

He's injured ffs.

Heavy legs runs in the family and the big calfs too It's just an injury he is always going to get every now and then.   He wants to go to the Euros and Villa are safe so best he plays without painkillers before the end of the season.  He will be back and going nowhere.
