Artetasgirl Posted July 1, 2010 Visiting Supporter Share Posted July 1, 2010 Surely Hughes would want a bigger job than that? But what "bigger" job would be available any time soon?
ED
Surely Hughes would want a bigger job than that? why? It's not like he was appointed manager at the richest club in the world. He just happened to be managing a mid table side when they came in. Before that he was at another mid table club oop north too.

TrentVilla Posted July 1, 2010 Author Moderator Share Posted July 1, 2010 Surely Hughes would want a bigger job than that? But what "bigger" job would be available any time soon? I've not polished my crystal ball for a while so don't know for certain but not unthinkable that the Newcastle job could be available soon for a start. Then there could be the Spurs job should the FA get shot of Capello and go for Redknapp. Plenty of managers will go between now and Christmas and far better jobs than Fulham will be available. paddy
Probably Hughes, but so long as they still want Sidwell I don't care! (Or even better they want to take him to Liverpool).
Ponky
MAybe they'll make a play for Holloway. He's shown in the past he'll jump pretty quick smart if a bigger offer comes up.

CarewsEyebrowDesigner
If Hughes has sense he'll wait for the Newcastle job, this has Curbishley wrote all over it.
TrentVilla Posted July 1, 2010 Author Moderator Share Posted July 1, 2010 far better jobs than Fulham will be available. Respectfully do not agree that will happen for the forseeable future Before the start of the season? Probably not but they will be soon enough and he would be far better waiting than taking that job. It would be a really bad move, he is never going to take them further than Hodgson did so he is destined to fail there and if he does that he will never get a decent job. bickster Posted July 1, 2010 Moderator Share Posted July 1, 2010 Curbishley would be the obvious choice, which is why it won't be him. The former Arms Salesman / non British Citizen tends to appoint from left field And with the sale of Harrods it was also rumoured that the club is up for sale too, so he might just appoint someone with experience of handling a takeover in progress and that would have Mark Hughes name on the job

thetrees
Surely Hughes would want a bigger job than that? But what "bigger" job would be available any time soon? Let's see what happens with Capello. If he goes it would be quite possible that another non-English manager, who has English as his first language, could take over. That would then free up a very big job that Hughes may well be a shoe in for.
