As well as Oliver's lines being comical but well placed. I'm 2 seasons in since you posted this. The 20 min length means one episode just rolls into another and you can easily do 5 or 6 in a row. Its pretty good actually, there's some highs and lows but it tends to maintain a decent level of consistency along the way. I think Chevy might be my favourite character. hogso Posted March 27, 2017 Share Posted March 27, 2017 Line of Duty. It has become increasingly silly series on series, and there were more than a couple ? moments last night. I can't help but thoroughly enjoy it and be captivated throughout though, and I also have to say I enjoy the cliffhanger endings and what may now be considered the rather 'old school' fact of having to wait literally a whole week omfg to find out what happens next. Have recently returned to Designated Survivor after initially giving up. My expectations are reduced now I've accepted it's essentially 24 in politics mode. I mean it continues to be hilariously absurd with the amount of random plot twists they throw in in a single episode, and the dialogue is largely woeful, but as easy entertainment it works. Funny thing is, I don't actually think the acting and the dialogue in Line of Duty is that great. Martin Compston especially is quite a shit actor I think.
