Balls should change his name to Arrogant rocket polisher faced **** ... seeing as he acts the same way

I hope he gets the job ..then he will make Liebour even more unelectable than they already are ..tbh I don' think he has a big enough majority to be leader , to much risk he could get voted out by the constituency

EDIT: Maybe he could change his name, like Gideon? :P

Double EDIT: Seems Osborne's name is in fact George anyway. Gid is just his second name .... (damn you drat)

Nope - gideon was his first name;he changed it at school because he was getting bullied as his name wasn't posh enough.

you are indeed corerct Grings.

just wiki'd it again. You have to delve into the detail, but:

Osborne is the eldest son of four children and heir of Sir Peter Osborne, 17th Baronet. Sir Peter Osborne co-founded the firm of fabric and wallpapers designers, Osborne & Little.[3][4]

Originally named Gideon, he changed his name to George when he was 13. In an interview in July 2005, Osborne said: "It was my small act of rebellion. I never liked it. When I finally told my mother she said, 'Nor do I'. So I decided to be George after my grandfather, who was a war hero. Life was easier as a George; it was a straightforward name."[5]

Labour 'fixing' leadership race, says John McDonnell

Left-wing Labour MP John McDonnell has accused the party of "fixing" the race to succeed Gordon Brown as leader.

He said he wanted to stand but would struggle to get the backing of the 33 MPs he needed to get by next Thursday.

Jon Cruddas - who ruled himself out of the race on Monday - also said it was not long enough for MPs to make up their minds.

Wonder if all the candidates are holding their breath and praying that Gordon backs one of their rivals :-)

I'd guess mr gonads might be the unlucky recipent of that "endorsement" ....

Diane Abbott FTW ....

probably doesn't have a hope in hell but at least she's not some dour boring bloke

certainly an eyebrow raiser, that one!

I think she'll probably get the 33 endorsements to stand, but doubt she could win the thing, TBH.

Does she carry sufficient authority?

she sent her son to a selective school

on the radio just now she said he goes to a private school .... or are they the same thing ?

Its both selective and private (though as its run through the City of London corporation, its a bit confusing); its City of London for Boys, which is a highly thought of school. Its pretty broad in its intake in terms of parental earnings (it offers alot of scholarships iirc), background, etc. I believe that Abbott only applied to private schools.

The boys god father is Jonathan Atiken...

She sounds like a massive hypocrite when it comes to private education.

Typical Labour- pretend they're socialist then go totally against it in their own actions.
