Awful technique, average passer, 2nd touch is more often than not a tackle and his positional play is dreadful. Plus he's an arrogant **** to boot. Hope we ship him out. No, just to show him he won't be a regular starter if he isn't in top form. Even in the Valencia game, I still think he was a little short of the standard we want from him this season. Plus major kick in the teeth for Albrighton if he dosen't start on saturday imo. Obviously if we don't sign Ireland then Downing will play anyway imo. He wasnt the motm against Valencia by a long way. hes very very raw! Decision making is appalling at times. there was a point where he got the ball in the RB position and just whacked it to their players stood in centre circle.
