Guess who decided to get day 4 tickets instead of day 3? 🤦‍♂️

I have a feeling you'll be alright.

This is gonna start spinning day 3 I reckon.  England will continue to bat all day tomorrow I'd like to think.

Been at work today so not watched it, but do we think  Hameed is starting to show what he’s all about?

With the shorter form of the game seemingly taking over opening batsman that value their wicket are becoming a very rare bread, but obviously so important in the best form of the game.

I forgot about this game until about an hour ago and now I'm torn between my delight with how the days play has gone and the deep sadness of knowing that because of how luck works on VT I can never follow the first day of a Test match again.

I think England will bat well into the third day so unless India totally screw up second innings, theres a good chance it should go well into the 4th day

Oh look, Mr "I'm very good, yet only ever get 23 runs" Jonny Bairstow has ANOTHER wafty shot caught.

My number 2 hated Cricketer after Gary "the bastard" Ballance.

Stop picking him for **** sake.

If the other ginger was fit, I don't think he would have been picked. Seems white ball is his thing now, and he's bloody brilliant at that.

Yeah I think if they can bat through the first hour, and as close to lunch as possible, I should see some cricket on Saturday.

Was he that good in The Hundred?

No doubt his England one day pedigree though!

Went to the 4th day at Lords and had a brilliant day and expected a victory the next day.I still haven’t recovered from that defeat but really enjoying this test where we seem destined to win.

I must say although we lost the last test it shows how brilliant test cricket can be.No other sport can keep your attention for so long and provide so much tension and excitement.

He played two matches scoring a 50 and a 76 at a decent strike rate. Pretty impressive. He’s a great white ball cricketer. He was a very good red ball cricketer but the money on offer to white ball specialists must be difficult to turn down for a player like Johnny Bairstow.

As said by someone above, if Stokes was available then Bairstow would likely be the man to miss out.

Excellent from the top 4 batsmen but strangely enough when on 400+ runs and a 300+ lead I think England will be a tad disappointed with how the day panned out, Buttler and Ali in particular missed out on a golden opportunity to pile more runs on and cement their places in the team, hopefully can add another 20 or 30 runs in the morning but I fancy we’ll be bowling within 30 mins or the restart, should still be far too much for India to do to even rescue a draw but England could have got to 550/600 you feel with a bit more nouse.

Fingers crossed for @dAVe80 we can get a batting session and Virat and col come out disciplined!

Let's see what happens. My record of picking days to go and watch England at Headingley is awful. Last time I chose to get tickets the day's play, before the Stokes Ashes day. 🤦‍♂️
