Qwpzxjor1 517 Report post Posted May 1, 2010 West Indies win by 70 runs. Ouch, that's a hammering. New Zealand vs Sri Lanka was a cracking game though!
Milfner 1,590 Report post Posted May 1, 2010 New Zealand seem to pretty well in one-day competitions. I wouldn't be at all suprised if they make it to the semis or even the final.

memoryof82 10 Report post Posted May 2, 2010 Ed Joyce? He is meant to be coming back for the next World Cup with Hamish Marshall, it could add some needed batting in our top order, pity Morgan isn't still here , we do have Dockrell though ...

Gringo 2 Report post Posted May 3, 2010 Ireland want rain, and a wash out.
Qwpzxjor1 517 Report post Posted May 3, 2010 If tomorrows a wash out it'll be such a pile of shite. No way would West Indies have got 193. Once Gayle goes they crumble.. but then they get given 29 runs from 20 balls. Gayle goes cheaply and Pollard gets a duck.. but still given an incredibly easy innings. If England go out of this tournament (which is possible with the forecast tomorrow) after getting 192 then it's a joke.

Qwpzxjor1 517 Report post Posted May 3, 2010 It's forecast to just tip it down tomorrow. Which means England vs Ireland would be a draw. What would that mean for England and Ireland? Wouldn't Ireland have the better average?
Gringo 2 Report post Posted May 3, 2010 A minus 3.5 runs per over is not in Ireland's favour.
Qwpzxjor1 517 Report post Posted May 3, 2010 Never sure what D/L does to run average... We gotta beat Ireland then, simply. Watch us bugger that up after such a good batting display today.

Pray For Rain England - it's your only hope.
LancsVillan 268 Report post Posted May 3, 2010 Total farce. That was far too low a total to give them, the DL needs looking at.
Qwpzxjor1 517 Report post Posted May 3, 2010 If England bat anything like today they'll win it easily. But they won't. West Indies would not have got anything near 192 today. It shows how much they lack depth when our tactic at the end was just to keep Andre Fletcher on strike and keep Chanderpaul off strike. Fletcher is their number 4 batsman!
