limpid Posted November 4, 2014 Administrator Share Posted November 4, 2014 That would be a HTC thing, not a nexus thing.
The_Rev
And to be honest, given the speed HTC get their updates out at, it would probably be quicker if they delivered the file on a flash drive sent by carrier pigeon from Taipei.
welnik
So, my new Experia Z3 came last night. I say, what a machine!!!!!!!!! I'm sure it will take me ages to figure everything out. One thing i can't seem to find though. Can i turn off the data from my 4g, i can turn off wifi but the 4g seems to be always on, which can be helpful but i want to be able to disable it to help with battery life. I'm hoping to get to 4-5 days on battery life. i don't use the internet on my phone much because i find the screen too small (even this one!). Hopefully the rather groovy people on VT can help. Cheers Nick

PompeyVillan
http://www.mobiles.co.uk/lg-g3-metallic-black.html?tid=4S34MFEB14 LG G3 for £18 a month. 500mins, 500MB, unlimited texts. 24 months. £333 off contract on Amazon. Effectively you're paying just over £4 a month for the tariff. Thought it was worth sharing.
The_Rev
500mb of data? Thanks but no thanks.
omariqy
I use that in a day! Probably not but I just had to upgrade my data bundle with Vodafone because I am using more than my allowance each month. Luckily they gave me 3 months unlimited to see how much I used so I could decide on what bundle to have. I just love how quick the HTC phone is, so tend to use it for the internet all the time. I see that HTC have announced that we will have Lollipop within 90 days.
darrenm
I've obviously been on wifi a lot recently, I've only used 5GB over the last 30 days. I'm normally about 10GB. And that's standard use, I'm not downloading anything big nor doing anything untoward. I don't get how mobile networks have the cheek to even offer 500MB contracts. It's like selling a car with a 1 litre fuel tank.
mykeyb
Well PC World / Currys are now selling the Nexus 9 so will call in tomorrow and have a look if they have on on display. The reviews so far have been mixed at best. For half that price they are selling a Lenovo Tab S8 which has a 64bit Processor which is tempting as a short term replacement for my Nexus 7. The cheeky part is locking into such a paltry amount for 24 months (with an option for them to increase the monthly charge whenever they like if they can justify it (to themselves) as "inflationary") (sorry donnie). mykeyb
What is google inbox? off topic, that's what it is keeping this "on topic" then. I am going to remove the Android App for Google Inbox from both my Nexus 5 & 7 as it changes all the Categories from the standard and I think makes it much harder to keep track of your email. As an App they look very nice and the way they handle your email may well suit some people. - just doesnt work well for me.
