maqroll
With Rafa on his way out, Ancelotti maybe as well, the Celtic job potentially open, and maybe even a club like Forest in the market, what are the chances MON bails on this experiment? Chindie Posted March 28, 2010 VT Supporter Share Posted March 28, 2010 I doubt he will. But I think it's much more likely than I'd have thought it a month ago. Theres a slim chance, to my mind, he'll be driven out by the fanbase, something I've kind of expected for at least a season to come eventually. But that would require an absolutely spectacular collapse from now to the end of the season, or something else to get the vocal aspect of the crowd that don't like him to get much louder and bigger sharpish. TRO
.....Thats interesting, I'm not sure what will happen, but I would suspect that, if he goes it will be of his own volition. I suspect some folk will look at the departures Arron Hughes Craig Gardner Kevin Phillips Gary Cahill Steven Davis JLloyd Samuel Gavin McCann Thomas Sorensen Zat Knight Liam Ridgewell and say we have spent c £100 million to improve our squad and yet these boys above are still performing in the prem and are not involved in any relegation teams.....??????? just being devils advocate. ps ....yes davis is in the SPL, but still a decent standard of team. DeepDish
I am sure that O'Neill and Lerner will make an evaluation after next season. 5 years is probably the right time to give a manager.

rjshare
...that would require an absolutely spectacular collapse from now to the end of the season... i cant really imagine how much more spectacular it could get than a run of three wins in 11 culminating in the heaviest defeat in living memory and going from the best placed team to finish fourth to odds on for seventh in less than two months - for the second season in a row. we could go on to win the cup i know - but then again so could portsmouth but it doesnt really mean it will have been a good season for them. Right then.... Arron Hughes-At Fulham not better than Luke Young or Cuellar at RB Craig Gardner-shame he didn't get more of a chance really Kevin Phillips-aged 138..good goalscorer but way past his best Gary Cahill-IMO should never have gone..especially after his goal against the scum :winkold: Steven Davis-playing SCOTTISH football JLloyd Samuel-at Bolton..not better than Shorey/Bouma or Warnock Gavin McCann-Bolton and struggles to play Thomas Sorensen-We have Friedel and Guzan..maybe could have stayed but fell out with MON Zat Knight-We have Davies/Cuellar/Dunne/Clark/Collins Villa fan but too prone to a mistake Liam Ridgewell-seems to be doin quite well at LB for the scum Shaun Maloney-Again, shame he didn't get more of a chance

commander
i've voted probably not. However I definitely want him to go. All these peoiple suggesting MON will go to Liverpool or Man U it's a joke, he's not good enough for us let alone them.

Hanky
Probably not. Though I think he will walk away if we finish lower than 8th and lose to sha and lose to Chelsea in the semi.

But the improvements on them haven't been £100 Million. Don't know what you'd prefer but let's just say: Sorenson - Friedel Hughes - Young Cahill - Collins Knight - Dunne Samuel - Warnock Gardner - Milner McCann - Petrov Davis - A.Young Phillips - Carew That in "replacements" is £56 Million. If you say Tottenham. Gomes, Corluka, Bassong, Woodgate, Bale, Jenas, Palacios, Modric, Defoe. That's (now not exactly sure, probably out by 5-10 million??) but £80 Million. if you say Man City: Given, Zabaleta, Toure, Lescott, Bridge, Barry, De Jong, Bellamy, Tevez. That's £100+ million. So I think you look at the quality and it's about right in my opinion. Compared to others, don't think we've overspent.

I really don't know how I feel, I kinda don't want him to go , but feel inclined he should come out and give us some clear and honest indication of where we are going what the likely/realistic plans are. I don't feel inclined to seriously consider Mon for Liverpool or Man U even if the jobs were available.

If you say Decent but not a top manager which is what we need. Fair enough, but dreadful. Give me a break. People like Brian Laws, Ian Dowie are dreadful managers.
