The performance weren't that bad. The problem was, the game was there for the taking and we sat back basically and let Sunderland into the game far too easily in the second half!!

Just look at the last 5 minutes when we actually tried to win the game, we had 2/3 good chances!!!!

The performance wasn't the problem, the desire was!!

Friedel - 6

Warnock - 5

Dunne - 5

Collins - 6

Cuellar - 6

Young - 8

Downing - 7

Petrov - 6

Milner - 7

Delfouneso - 7.5

Carew - 7.5

Simply not good enough. I have no idea what Petrov was doing at the end either. Players look too jaded to get into those positions. At least we learned one thing: Delfouneso does a hell of a lot more than Emile Heskey!

Didn't think the performance was that bad.

We looked static and just wanted to hoof the ball from defence to clear it but there wasn't really much wrong. maybe lacked a bit in the final 3rd.

Oh and Delfouneso is deffinitely a better choice in attack than Heskey. Well tonight anyway.

young MOTM, carew close second.

it was an alright performance, we just couldnt finish them off. frustrating is the word which comes to mind. think we can wave goodbye to 4th now, barring a miraculous turnaround. at least citeh lost i guess.

**** up again. crunch time of the season, couldn't take advantage. 2 points v sunderland and wolves is atrocious. UNBEATEN ALL YEAR, YEAAAAH. except about 235 draws there.

We will always finish top 10 under MoN. We will NEVER break top 5, let alone top 4 however.

Should we be satisfied with no plan B Ellisian " well at least we're not insert team slightly lower in the league"

Who Everton got the weekend? Can't see us getting owt from Chelsea and an Everton will will get them level.

Paying the price for not rotating the squad. Midfield, as against Wolves, looked shattered after an hour.

First half: Best I have seen of Villa this season. Keeping possession, attacking nicely, great chances.

Second half turned into a struggle.

Understand the commentators who were asking what kind of supporters our home support is "there really is no need to get so unpatient, seeing how the game has been".

Not happy that we did not score three more, though.

Friedel 6 (almost nothing to do)

Cuellar 6 his usual self at rb

Dunne 5 (too many mistakes)

Collins 6

Warnock 5 (gave a goal away - again)

Downing 7

Milner 7 (poor second half drops a point)

Petrov 7

A. Young 9

Carew 8

Delfouneso 7

Martin O'Neill 5 (should have started with L. Young - and would have seen Albrighton getting swapped with Downing in the second half)

Villa Park faithful 3
