Mr_Dogg
I'd like to see Carew get 90 minutes. He needs it. If he could get some form back, then things would look a whole lot better for us.

Posted February 12, 2010 Moderator Share Posted February 12, 2010 --------------Friedel--------------- Cuellar----Dunne---Davies--Young Young---Sidwell----Delph---Downing ---------------Milner----------------- ------------Delfouneso---------------- Just thinking about a bench for this side, I suppose it'd be Guzan, Beye, Collins, Salifou, Osbourne, Delfouneso, Carew. Please, no more injuries.

These are good points. Erm we'll have to stick Eric Lichaj on the bench then. I didn't go for Carew initially as I'd be concerned about us putting both of our fit strikers at risk. Thinking about it, It would be possible to go with the line up I've gone with but with Young up front and Milner on the right.
Mr_Dogg
A. Young never gets a break does he?! What is the story with Albrighton BTW?
Richard
I think both Milner and Young will get a rest --------------Guzan Beye----Collins-----Davies-----Young Albrighton----Delph----Sidwell----Downing --------Delfouneso-----Carew We always seemed to struggle when we played this lot in the league, no matter who we had in the team for us and who played for them or where we were or where they were. 3-1 to Villa
villan-scott Posted February 12, 2010 VT Supporter Share Posted February 12, 2010 I think Downing is the one who needs resting... he has played every game since returning from his broken foot, which is a lot to ask of anybody. I think Milner could do with a weekend off as well and leave Young in, with that we would still have plenty to see off Palace. -------------------Guzan------------------------ Beye-----Davies--------Collins--------Bouma?? Marc A-----Delph--------Sidwell------Young---- -------------Fonz------------JC------------------- More than enough to win the game and stay solid. You pair not want to be in the 6th round draw then?.. That's good enough to beat Crystal Palace if we play well enough.
Hanky
This isn't going to be easy that's for sure. I'd like to see a strong enough team to win the game, don't want a replay at all.

maqroll
Been a while since we've played Palace. I always kind of liked them. I'd almost feel bad piling on the misery for them now. Almost.

The defence is pretty strong even with 2 players coming back to fitness...Clarke looked good against Portsmouth and Palace arent better than them. Midfield where 3 of the 4 played against Man Utd Strikeforce could score goals and compliment each other...
