This must surely be a convincing win against a poor and injury-ravaged Wet Spam :D 3-0 to the Villa :P The only question for MON is whether he should rest a couple of players before the Blackburn game in mid week. Perhaps another run-out for NRC and Sidders or Delph?

IT would be remarkable if one match in January made the difference between top 4 & top 6.

This is however an excellent chance to get above the £250m draw specialists so I hope we don't blow it

Yes I know what you mean but you drop points in a game like this and then we RELY on games like Arsenal/Chelsea/United to make up those points we dropped.

Also if it was just one other team challenging, but there's 3 other teams challenging so everytime there is an opportunity we need to take advantage. I for one don't want to go into Arsenal at home (our next league game) still 2/3 points behind Spurs/Citeh and just a couple points in front of Arsenal and needing a win to try and keep up.

It don't matter anyway, we'll win. Can feel it. 3-0. Heskey, Dunne, Milner.

Now is the time to show that a cup run can have a positive impact on the league form. Win today and we could build real momentum to the Arsenal game. As excited as I am about the carling cup - and it is really really exciting - the league form is the be all end all. Getting 4'th is like wining the league - because we are never going to do that before qualifying for the CL.

cant see west ham having the quality in midfield to stifle milner today, in fact - this is the sort of game where milner can get himself in all of the headlines - run the game and score a goal or two.

we are at home against poor opposition - tricky game or not, anything short of a good win will be considered an underacheivement. west ham dont have a single striker to pick from so we really should be playing for goal difference here, not just three points.

Argh, just want this one to start to be honest. For once, I'm going into a game pretty confident and excited to see us play (if we play our best team) especially on sky, alot of people think who haven't seen us in, in more recent weeks, still think we're really boring to watch. Love to see us be at our best today and Hammer someone.

If not, ahh well, League Cup semi final too look forward too ;)

Would love to see the two Delph's been given the last 30 minutes whatever the situation really too. I think both are good enough and deserve a decent amount of time to make an impact.

Delfouneso has done nothing but score whenever he's had the opportunity, I reckon he deserves a call from the bench that is competitive and not just last 15 minutes when were comfortable in the lead.

I mean look at the Everton game last year where he cut inside of his man and nearly grabbed the winner. He's ready for action, unleash. ;)

Totally agree, it's amazing how Downing coming in and moving Jimmy into the middle, along with Heskey getting a regular place has had such a positive impact on the way we've played as of late.

I think we'll win by a goal, but I'd love to see us stick 4 or 5 past them, especially as it's sky. It would definitely send a message out to everyone!!
