Zatman
He might not be the best player this season but for his winners at the Sty and Scum Trafford it has to be Gabby. If he never scored for us again he would still be a legend in my eyes for them 2 goals
thejoker
A few candidates, but for me Milner, he has been superb. The vultures will be coming to try and prise him away soon...
colhint
The defence has been superb so it must be one of them, so Warnock for me, however come may I have a feeling Luke Young will be up there
Grant(aka_eddy)
As he has been largely overlooked i thought i'd throw in that while Ash's general play hasnt been as good he is still consistently hurting the opposition and keeping us ticking over with goals, recently adding a few himself. That said it's Milner for me, he was brilliant out wide but his move into the middle is something that could trasform us into top 4 material. Collins and Dunne have been a revelation, Carlos has stepped up to expectations and Warnock has completed an excellent defence and shown what a good full back can do to expose teams with proper overlapping runs. Gabby has improved yet again and sometimes looks unplayable like Henry and Drogba always do. Lets hope he can keep improving to those levels. AVFC-Prideofbrum
Agbonlahor Dunne Milner Warnock Collins. Gone for Agbonlahor first of all as I think if there was one person we need in our team, it's him. The rest can be in any order.
Oaks
Collins before he was injured. But now I'd say Dunne. I agree with that apart from the Dunne bit, im going for Milner now.
Oaks
And to be fair at the moment we have a few contenders because Milner, Collins, Dunne, Warnock, Gabby and Brad have all been immense this season.

tinker Posted December 13, 2009 VT Supporter Share Posted December 13, 2009 The defense has been great, but we have always had a great defense, its the creative midfielder we have always lacked and now we seem to have the answer, Milner, has the lot and more to come, he will become a midfield legend, for Villa and England. I would also like to mention Downing, nowhere near enough games to make any real comment on him, but what I have seen is very encouraging and IMO he may well push Milner for our best player come the end of the season. beasley14
I went for Milner but could have been a number of others tbh. All 3 cb`s, Warnock and Gabby have all played very well.
Vojskovoda
I personally don't think any individual has 'stood out', obviously some players have been better than others, but I think it's been a real joint effort by the team. One for all and all for one etc...

villa4europe
It's brilliant that we have so many genuine contenders for our player of the season. spot on
Risso
Gabby - he's been absolutely sensational, followed by Warnock and Milner, who have both been excellent.
AVFC-Prideofbrum
Completly agree with Risso about Gabby, if there was one player that we needed and one player we couldn't afford to lose, it'd be Gabby IMO.
