Richard
They are in a poor run and our confidence must be high. A tentative 3 points for us I think
PompeyVillan
I'd be happy with a point.

Chindie Posted December 15, 2009 VT Supporter Share Posted December 15, 2009 Like a few others, I'd take a point, preferably with a good performance to match it. This game is important to maintain that buzz from the last win, we've got to keep that confidence but not become too cocky. Beat Sunderland and we can keep our heads held as the real deal. Big_John_10
Yeah i'm with you also, i mean if we'd done that then we might have actually beat Man U. We did. A point today is a must imo. It'll be very hard to get though - and we never seem to perform too well up in Sunderland. Good luck the Villa boys. And fair play to anyone travelling up to watch them on a cold Tuesday night. I'm aware of that, just amazed that after winning some still think what we did was wrong.
Pilchard
They are in a poor run and our confidence must be high. A tentative 3 points for us I think I would be absolutely delighted if we came away with three points tonight. I hope you are right!

Maradona10
So Warnock fit? What about Sunderland?
Pilchard
Very surprised that the team has stayed unchanged.
AVFC-Prideofbrum
Nah Warnock isn't fit, just playing because he's injured. Sunderland: Fulop, Turner, Da Sila, Nosworthy, McShane, McCarttney, Cana, Henderson, Reid, Richardfson, Jones, Bent. According to sky sports, although not sure having 12 players is fair. Richard
Very surprised that the team has stayed unchanged. To be honest I am not so surprised. I am surprised that Warnock is fit but that aside not so that he hasn't changed it. That will come on Saturday I think at a perceived easier fixture
AVFC-Prideofbrum
McShane not playing in fact, he plays for Hull, what was SSN are on!
villadude
Cascarino's preview I struggle to comprehend that opponents haven’t worked out Villa’s tactics of getting the ball out to their two wide men James Milner and Ashley Young to deliver early balls into the box. OK Tony....I love the comments on him at the bottom though WTF is it with that word removed? I've never heard him say anything good about us, rocket polisher! lmarsha_926
Sunderland (4-4-2): Fulop, Nosworthy, Da Silva, Turner, McCartney, Richardson, Cana, Henderson, Reid, Bent, Jones Subs: Carson, Mensah, Cattermole, Healy, Bardsley, Campbell, Malbranque. tinker Posted December 15, 2009 VT Supporter Share Posted December 15, 2009 Sunderland are a serious threat, we need to be as strong as possible, I for one am glad we have started our strongest team. My 4-0 prediction now seems a bit strange, even to me! Must have been the euphoria from the Manure game.
ED
although not sure having 12 players is fair. Because you added in McShane who plays for Hull!
PompeyVillan
On paper, Sunderland look pretty average to me. I know they'll be famous last words, but McShane, MCCarttney, Henderson etc? Sunderland are strong up front, but really we should be alot better than them in midfield and defence.
AVFC-Prideofbrum
Worried about this one, they have alot of power upfront and also quality in midfield although glad Malbranque isn't playing.
