VT Supporter Genie 10,647 Posted April 3 VT Supporter Report Share Posted April 3 (edited) Mate of mine (43) who lives 2 doors down rushed to hospital in an ambulance with a heart attack. The removed a blood clot from his heart. He’s under observation because they want to figure out what caused it. They said it could be the covid vaccine he had recently. I’m more concerned about having it now. I mentioned on here a few times the swelling and pain my wife has in her arm. It’s still sore to touch now after about 5 or 6 weeks. Are you concerned more or less than about the confirmed 127,000 that have died from Covid?

It was just a shock tbh. I know it still makes sense to have the vaccine, especially as no link is proven yet.

I've just posted this in the virus thread but hopefully helps your thought process 12 minutes ago, sidcow said: UK has administered over 20m AstraZeneca jabs. Yesterday we had 10 deaths and cases and deaths have been steadily falling for weeks. France are have virtually ceased AstraZeneca because of age restrictions and vaccine resusal. Yesterday they had 332 deaths. Their new cases and deaths have been steadily climbing for weeks. Their new cases have actually rocketed. They had 47,000 new cases yesterday compared to our 3,400. In about 2 weeks time on those case numbers France will be seeing about 1,200 deaths a day based on what happened to us in January 2 weeks after we were getting those kind of numbers. What is the danger here? What is going to kill people here? It's simply crazy.

I would say if it was only yesterday they wouldn't have any idea what caused it yet. 43 years old is the kind of age where lifestyle and other factors can catch up on you and heart attacks do start to emerge in that age group. Hope your buddy gets through it, sounds like the main danger is past. I've known people to have heart attacks and live normal fruitful lives for decades after. Sorry to hear that pal, hopefully he's ok and recovers. Could be a multitude of reasons - unhealthy diet, stress, previously unknown heart condition, etc.

Now to see if any damage is done, and what caused it.

VT Supporter Genie 10,647 Posted Thursday at 17:53 VT Supporter Report Share Posted Thursday at 17:53 I’ve been looking around for a new laptop recently, some good deals on eBay sellers with the current 15% off (currys for example). The problem is the delivery of “sometime in the next 4-6 days” seems really old fashioned since Amazon raised the bar. If I want to buy a new gadget I want it in my hands by next day. I just bought a cheap laptop, to replace the previous cheap laptop that the missus uses for shopping, FB and Scrabble. Ordered 7pm Monday, arrived 3pm Tuesday. Amazon.
