Tim The Villain & alike,

Seeing that you think players should have more comfortable seating on the bench and get with the times etc. Do you also advocate the wearing of headphones and being "chilled out" whilst sitting on the bench, waiting for a game?

It drives me mad to see players sitting, listening to music, when they should be watching the game to see how it is developing just in case they do manage to get on the pitch! How can a player get a feel for the atmosphere when he is listening to some speed garage or whatever it is they listen to!

I think that the dugout should be left as it is. It's called "sitting on the bench" for a reason. Until the day comes when they rename the non-selection of players to "Sitting in the chair", I think they should refrain from installing chairs.

it doesn't seem to do united subs any harm does it?

Personally, I'm not too fussed. MON doesn't use the seats anyway, so whatever.

lol Max, and I didn't even start this 'debate'.

I just think it certainly wouldn't harm the club and would help to make us look like a club with substance; a modern club with old fashioned tradtions mixed with new ideas.

New ideas, more like chavy ideas lol :)

I'm not even sure if the dug-outs need to be improved, but if they do surely it doesn;t have to involve car seat lol

Makes me laugh when they even have the holes for a four point harness.

So Old Trafford and The Emirates are chavvy?

Course not. They're both better grounds than Villa Park.

I think that you're underselling Villa Park there mate! There was a thead on here linking to a thread on the Cardiff forum, they were going on about how Villa Park is better than a faceless style Emirates staium. It looks 10 times better inside now than it did 3-4 years ago. Randy has really gave it a face lift.

Man U and Arsenal are two clubs heavily concerned by advertising space (I know Audi sponsor Man U's seats, not sure about Arsenal, but I'd be surprised if they didn't have an Emirates logo on). To them it's just another package they pimp out to a corporation for cash.

I'd like to think that we have a bit more class than that, actually I know we have more class than that.

But like I say, if Randy or MON thought the dug out needs updating why the hell use car seats, surely there would be a better solution that doesn't involve following the crowd just for the f'in sake of it. Also not sure if they fit in with the Jacobean style architecture, stained glass and mosaic that Randy is clearly a fan of.

Old trafford better than Villa Park, never, you can`t have been to both grounds if you think that

Yeah, but they're cardiff fans fgs! They go to places like Doncastor weekly, and the hawthorns is a dream for them.

I reckon we have the 3rd best ground in the league, behind these two. Unless you think our ground is the best in the league,

I didn't say we have the best ground. Who has the best ground... it's objective, so there's no point in commenting.

My point it that bolt on goodies from an 18 year old boy racer's Saxo wont improve Villa Park. You obviously view the whole thing differently to me, fine

It's called a messageboard, and you seemed to think I don't rate our ground as any good. I just rate the emirates and old trafford as better grounds. Little things like modern seats contribute to that. We don't need to be totally 70's.

Why don't we install carpets and a leather sofa in there - instantly elevating Villa Park to the bestest ground in the world!?

Because that would look shit :?

Of course, Gizmo knows more about making grounds look good than members of MUFC and AFC board of directors
