GaztonVilla
Right, definitely looking forward to this one.. The North East Lions supporters club will have a 15 strong contingent going to this one. Last year we met up at Sleepers pub, which is at the East Boldon metro station. This is 2 stops away from the Stadium of Light. Basically, if you're getting the train to Newcastle, get off at Newcastle and then get the Metro towards South Hylton. 20 minutes down the line is East Boldon station, get out there and have a drink with us. Last season for the Sunderland match there was probably about 50 Villa fans there. They're a very friendly bunch at Sleepers, and very welcoming of away fans. If you're driving, Sleepers has plenty of free and secure parking too. So park up there, have a drink with us. Then jump on the metro for 5 minutes down the line towards the stadium. After the match, jump back on the metro and head back towards Newcastle. Not sure how much sense this makes to you, but for any more advice just send me a PM or visit our website at www.northeastlions.co.uk Gaz

Will probably be there hours in advance to avoid the inevitable traffic on the East Coast.

limpid Posted October 21, 2009 Author Administrator Share Posted October 21, 2009 FREE Sunderland Coach Travel Villa are pleased to announce that supporters can secure FREE official coach travel to Tuesday's Carling Cup tie at Sunderland. With four away games in the space of 12 days, this small gesture comes as an effort to get as many of the claret and blue army as possible behind Martin O'Neill's men at the Stadium of Light, as they bid to reach the quarter-finals. Tickets for the game are just £15 for adults and £5 for concessions - and both match and coach tickets can be booked by visiting the ticket office at Villa Village or by calling 0800 612 0970. Match and coach tickets will be available until 5pm on Monday October 26, but always remain subject to availability. The ticket office is open until 7pm Monday to Friday, Saturday from 9am to 5pm and on Sunday from 10am to 2pm. Supporters who have already purchased coach seats - which remain valid for the fixture - will be contacted shortly as we will be offering a refund or a £20 Club Voucher. Your coach ticket(s) do not need to be returned to secure a refund. Please note that anyone making the trip to the Stadium of Light will also be offered priority in securing tickets for future away cup ties this season, in appreciation of your commitment to travel. The club would like to take the opportunity to thank you for your continued support this season.
