4-5-1 or 4-4-2, that is the question...

I don't think Fulham will completely shut up shop, so I'd go with 4-5-1. We used it in quite a defensive way against Liverpool, when we lost the ball it was all men back. But we could also use it more attacking minded, Milner, Young Sidwell Gabby and maybe even NRC with his bursting runs should be more than a competant attack.

Either way I've got that buzz back and can't wait!

I'd start with 4-5-1 and then go for more attacking if we're struggling to break them down.

Hopefully the result last night will be enough to kickstart a bit of form. A win here would set us up really well for the next few games. I'd have taken 6 points from our first 3 fixtures at the start of the season.

Dropping Petrov in that formation is just ridiculous.

Petrov in a 4-4-2 struggles, but against Liverpool he was excellent.

I'd take out Sidwell and put in Petrov, putting Delph in the more forward position, freeing him to attack more.

We haven't seen the best of Delph as he has too much responsibility in a 4-4-2 but he's our only midfielder who is capable of passing and moving, shocking as that is.

You could see him attempting a few things tonight in a forward position, and a couple of times his passes were intercepted, and bam we're exposed.

If we play 4-5-1 at home, I'd like to see Delph play instead of Sidwell and have a more advanced roll.

---------------Friedel------------------

Beye----Cuellar--Dunne----Warnock

-----------NRC--------Petrov----------

--Milner-------Delph----------Young--

----------------Carew------------------

4-5-1

Freidel

Shorey (i'd play him on merit as he's done ok in the last 3 games)

Beye

Cuellar

Dunne (if he's signed, let Davies have that shoulder op)

Petrov

Reo-Coker

Delph

Milner

Young

Carew

Give Delph a roving role behind Carew, get Reo-Coker and Petrov to boss the midfield and keep Danny Murphy out of the game. Milner and Young pushing on up the wings and supporting Carew.

Get Gabby on towards the end once Carew has weeved his magic and test those tired fulham defenders legs.

bobs your uncle!

would love to see Guzan start this one, but know it won't happen.

Well Friedel is on 192 consecutive Premier League starts. So he'd have to deserve to be dropped if we're to deny him the 200.
