Grant(aka_eddy) Posted May 2, 2009 Posted May 2, 2009 Hatton looked a bit frailer than i expected at the weigh in. He's the same weight as he was when he fought Malignaggi but doesnt look it. Bit worried about this one now.
Gabby15 Posted May 2, 2009 Posted May 2, 2009 Pac comes in at 138lbs. Hatton in at 140lbs. Seen the weigh in pics, so much for the so- called size difference....I'm sticking with my pick, Pac-man in the 11th. Hatton wont be 140lbs tomorrow. He will be a lot heavier. Pac has bulked up to reach this weight. And @djdabush, KO and T/KO are essentially the same thing for the sake of this poll. Of course Hatton will be bigger but it's not like Manny won't put anything on either. When I watched the weigh-in, I could see no real size difference either. Going for Pac.
thecatmanbeep Posted May 2, 2009 Author Posted May 2, 2009 It's not about the size difference. Their body dimensions are pretty similar. But Hatton is very strong for his size, a lot stronger than Pacquiao is. That's where the 'size' difference comes in. And come fight night, Hatton will be bigger in size to boot.
markavfc40 Posted May 2, 2009 Posted May 2, 2009 Even though Hatton was 140lb ( 10 stone ) at the weight in come the fight he will enter the ring at around 11stone 2lb. Pacquiao on the other hand will weigh no more than around 10stone 7lb. Hatton is naturally by far the bigger and stronger man. This only comes into play though if he can get close enough to Pacquiao to hurt him. He will and take him out in the mid - later rounds.
CastleBromVilla Posted May 2, 2009 Posted May 2, 2009 I hear the undercard for this fight is shit, a load of complete miss matches. Fingers crossed all that bollocks will be out of the way quick to make way for the main event. Could do without this starting at 5am! Come on the Hitman!!!
The_Rev Posted May 2, 2009 Posted May 2, 2009 US immigration have said that at least 25'000 Hatton fans have travelled from Britain to Las Vegas for the fight. Twenty five thousand fans travelling some 5200 miles in the middle of a recession. Hatton really does have the best fans in the world, doesnt he?

Would be nice if he beats Pacquiao, that he has his next fight over here to say thanks to all his fans, especially those than follow him everywhere. The yanks can stay up to the small hours for once! He beats Pacquiao, he's in the driving seat, fight should be on his terms, one those being that the fight is at Wembley. It's got a roof, no need to worry about the weather, and it's massive, room for plenty of fans.

If he wants a roof would need to go to Cardiff but totally agree he should fight here and he should fight at Old Trafford but obviously for him a bit difficult being a City fan. If he lost tonight he still has some value left but I think it would be the beginning of the end for him

It would probably have to be somewhere with a roof as no doubt the yank promoters would use it as an excuse to have any fight (subject to Hatton beating Pacquiao) in the US instead. Anywhere in the UK would be good, means Hatton's army of fans wouldn't have to travel half way around the world to see him/stay up till the early hours to watch the fight on the box. It would be a nice thankyou to his fans.
BOF Posted May 2, 2009 Moderator Posted May 2, 2009 also do Sky ever announce how many people buy the PPV Doubt it.
CastleBromVilla Posted May 2, 2009 Posted May 2, 2009 Another question, i've paid for the fight on Sky Box Office PPV, does this include replays of the fight in the morning?
thecatmanbeep Posted May 2, 2009 Author Posted May 2, 2009 also do Sky ever announce how many people buy the PPV Yep. Hatton - Mayweather 1.2 million in the UK, 800,000 in the USA.

thecatmanbeep Posted May 2, 2009 Author Posted May 2, 2009 That's still really good figures for America. Only guy who'd sell more PPV's than that is Oscar De La Hoya.
Wol. Posted May 2, 2009 Posted May 2, 2009 why is there no official start times for big boxing matches? surly it would help these figures and increase profit. The under card doesn't need to be so structured and if all the under card fights were alll 1st round ko's then so be it. put a film on open the bars...is there something im missing
