ender4
Watched a couple of films this week:- 1. Man of Steel : Awesome Awesome film, I was so surprised at how good it was. I am not really one for the super human films but I totally enjoyed this film from start to finish. 10/10 10/10!!! i must have only given 10/10 to maybe 20 films in the past 20 years. weird that you don't like superhero films, but loved this so much. whereas i like superhero films, and hated this film. (gave it 4/10)

choffer Posted November 8, 2013 VT Supporter Share Posted November 8, 2013 As an ex-surfer, it never fails to amaze me how bad surfing-related movies are. I keep watching them and they keep disappointing. The latest: It's a true story about an amazing guy who I had the privilege to meet years ago but this is an affront to his memory. I know this is thread is for recommendations and as such, I would wholeheartedly recommend you avoid this movie.
theboyangel
This weekend is 'action' weekend in our house A Good Day To Die Hard - not expecting anything other than quips and explosions! Welcome To The Punch - looking forward to this as I rate both Mark Strong and James McAvoy

leemond2008
Today's Dogshit award goes unsurprisingly to...... A Good Day to Die Hard What.a.pile.of.dogshit Die Hard - **** awesome Die Hard 2 - rubbish yet still easily watchable Die Hard 3 - awesome (even if it was supposed to be a Lethal Weapon film) Die Hard 4 - quite enjoyed it although it didn't have that 'Die Hard' feel to it A Good Day to Die Hard - haven't seen it, have no intention of seeing it
villa4europe
said before on here, Olympus has fallen out die hards die hard now IMO, the 12a certificate ruined the series (as well as the greed and cashing in on the name obviously) just back from gravity, saw it in imax, stunning film, looks / sounds superb, probably the best 3D ive ever seen, bullock is excellent, will clean up come award season also very surprised at how busy it was, 11.10am showing, it was packed

donnie
So I just watched this for the first time Good innit. Claudia Cardinale has to be the most breathtakingly beautiful actress I've ever seen in that movie. Truly stunning. Soundtrack is my favourite as well. Better film then the good, the bad, and the ugly imo.
Designer1 Posted November 10, 2013 VT Supporter Share Posted November 10, 2013 So I just watched this for the first time Good innit. Fonda as an absolutely evil piece of work. Jack Elam and the fly . The whole soundtrack and each characters signature piece of music. Brilliant movie.
CarewsEyebrowDesigner
Claudia Cardinale She is mindblowingly lovely in '8½'
Xann
The whole soundtrack and each characters signature piece of music. iirc the soundtrack was made first, then played on set during the filming of key scenes. Simple techniques for elegant film making. All round wonderful film.

villaguy
I've seen the released trailor for the upcoming release of the new Robocop, looks exciting. I loved the films as a kid, used to scare me to death when I'd watch Murphy go into the disused warehouse and get blown to bits, the first one was easily the best but this new one looks like it's had plenty of budget and will do it justice
