Craig is the best bond. Hands down imo.

Horses for course but I don’t like him as Bond - way too pouty and wooden.

He’s not a patch on Connery, Brosnan or Dalton (who is totally underrated as Bond).

I think Casino Royale was decent but Craig should’ve stopped there and done a Lazenby.

Ive yet to see the latest but not in a rush to see it mainly because of Craig and I haven’t been enamoured with the recent storylines.

Saw dune this weekend. Very good film. I really like the dark nature of it and the score was excellent. It's a bit slow at times but overall very good. It's a proper film unlike all the comic book shite that infects cinema's these days.

As for the new bond it's one Hugh Grant cameo away from being a rom-com.

Enjoyed this one immensely. Helped by a very good (as usual) performance from Rebecca Hall. It's on Disney Plus for anyone that subscribes.

I saw “Antlers” on Friday.

It was very disappointing. Not scary and absolutely full of inexplicably stupid decisions made by the characters and a similarly inexplicable finale.

Pretty poor overall

Ranking of Bonds

Lazenby - weak actor and only had one go, so gets the last position by default.

Moore - too camp, went on too long, too many silly films and the quality of the film's he's in are all over the shop.

Brosnan - on paper he's a great Bond. Good actor, has the right mix of suave and but also can handle himself, can do the vicious and the dry wit. Then only had 1 good (if very, very good) film, and 1 stinker. Shame.

Dalton - like Brosnan, has everything. But he never looked comfortable in the dinner suit and only got 2 films, both of which are decent but not incredible and one is barely a Bond film really.

Craig - there's a lot to not like about his take. He's genuinely unlikeable at times as Bond (QoS he's horrible - just murders a guy for no reason at one point). He's miserable and moody in most of the films and he's had his own share of stinkers. And he doesn't quite look like Bond should IMO. But he's also had a genuinely brilliant film in his run and another decent (if stupid) one, and his performances, moodiness aside, are usually good takes on Bond.

Connery - he is Bond. Everyone that followed is doing their takes on him. And his approach basically is what Bond is - the charming, suave, dry wit but also genuinely physically imposing and able to handle himself. His run of films is decent (if also went on too long with his return to the role) and a number of those films are iconic. You can't beat him.

Change of plan tonight, missus wanted to watch summat else.

20 minutes into Birds of Prey. Absolute tripe. I hate the visuals, the art style, the atmosphere and I hate Robbie as Quinn. Utter plop so far.

**** me, it’s getting worse. A film made by idiots. Seriously one of the worst films I’ve ever seen so far.

Only reason I watch anything with Margot Robbie in it is because she is smoking hot.

But she can't act for shit.

I take it you haven't seen The Wolf of Wall Street? Or Once Upon a Time in Hollywood? Or Bombshell? Or her best performance in I, Tonya?

She's a very good actor in the right movie.

She's got a touch of Jennifer Lawrence / mystique about her in the DC films

Her character isn't that interesting and she's given way too much screen time to the point that she's made the centre of a film when she has no right to be

Her 10 minute segment shoe horned in to the suicide squad is easily the worst thing in an otherwise OK movie

Watched Dune at the cinema last night. Not been to the cinema since I watched 1917. I enjoyed it but as someone who has never read the book, seen the previous films or tv show I was a bit confused at first. I think if I hadn’t known there was going to be a part 2 before I watched it then I may have not rated it as much but it gets a solid 7.5/10 from me

Indeed. As Quinn though she is **** abysmal. As is the film. 2 hours I’m never getting back.

I've watched Wolf of Wall Street a few times (admittedly not for a little while now) and she didn't stand out as a bad actor but she also didn't seem to be great actor. There are some great performances in that film but I wouldn't list hers as one of them.

Having watched the first Suicide Squad film I got the impression that Leo made her acting IN Wolf look better than it was. Felt he did the same for Jonah Hill as he also came across a lot better then he usually does.

Is I Tonya worth watching if you don't know the real life story and have zero interest in ice skating?
