Looking it up on IMDb, it seems it is based on a WSJ article. I haven't read the article so not sure if it's the same people, but one guy told a similar story in an Experience column: Experience: I've played a game of tag for 23 years 'As teenagers, a group of friends and I spent every spare moment at school playing tag. I'll shove the list in a spoiler because its got a fair few films in it.
