It panders to commercialism by trying to guilt trip people into bying shit under the false notion of being romantic. Why on earth should you have to be romantic on a specific day of the year? Its also far cheaper to be romantic a week later as the prices of flowers have dropped again, you don't have to buy a card because no one makes cards for Feb 21st. Basically its a load of old monkey gism. Can't stand it if I'm honest. I'm probably going to Amsterdam aswell that weekend as 2 of my mates (who don't have a GF) were going told them i was coming. :oops: On the other hand, she hasn't got school from 1 - 7 february and I took the week off at work.
