A day for people who are a bit insecure really. It panders to commercialism by trying to guilt trip people into bying shit under the false notion of being romantic. Why on earth should you have to be romantic on a specific day of the year? Its also far cheaper to be romantic a week later as the prices of flowers have dropped again, you don't have to buy a card because no one makes cards for Feb 21st. Basically its a load of old monkey gism. Can't stand it if I'm honest. Me and the missus both agree and have never bothered with it ever

The man can speak sense

p.s. cards are cheaper on the 21st too :-)

Romance is dead.

Shush, find a lady and a castle and some Red Stripe. Call her wench, drink her wine, get her in trouble with her mom, take over her settee and her tele, get slightly more drunk than you intend to on a Saturday dinnertime.... But don't forget to cuddle her.

Romance is alive man.

I have a Valentine's party the 13th, got my ticket already, wanted to tell the GF but i forgot and i think it's sold out now. I'm probably going to Amsterdam aswell that weekend as 2 of my mates (who don't have a GF) were going told them i was coming. On the other hand, she hasn't got school from 1 - 7 february and I took the week off at work. Guess i'll have to start the making up in that week already :D
