Yeah, you can hardly get anything with €1.2m a month.

Probably has to start planning in Jan or Feb, put a few Euro aside.

There title race looks way more exciting then the Premiership! 4 teams who can still win it!

If Sevilla had of held on at the weekend they would be in a brilliant position

Hopefully Atletico get over the line, they deserve it and have been top nearly all season. Real have been really average for a while. Was it last season they lost 3-0 at home to CSKA Moscow in the CL?

That game was mainly a reserve team in fairness but have had worse results vs Shakhtar with a full team this season

They are strange team, destroyed Liverpool and have good record vs  Barcelona this season but struggle vs the minnows

Remember a few days ago when Javier Tebas was all about the fans and against the ESL

The guy is a cnut.

Football: La Liga still planning to take matches to US, says Tebas

La Liga's plans to stage a game in the United States are alive and kicking, according to president Javier Tebas who all but ruled out taking the showpiece El Clasico match out of Spain.

La Liga has twice failed to take a regular season match Stateside with FIFA, world football's governing body, and the Spanish FA (RFEF) voicing their opposition to the plans.

Speaking at an event to mark La Liga's new television rights deal in North America with ESPN, Tebas said on Friday (May 14) that La Liga's plans have not changed, although they would leave Real Madrid's meetings with Barcelona on home soil.

"El Clasico is a more difficult game to export because it's the most important club game in the world, it's different," Tebas said. "But we might take other official games, we're certainly looking at that.

"I hope and expect that in the not too distant future the US should host a competitive game with some of our biggest clubs. When we achieve it, maybe it can be Barcelona one year, Real Madrid the next or Atletico. They will be there.

He's talking nonsense, says El Classico is the biggest game in the world... It's clearly Utd vs Liverpool based off last night's coverage of our game.

Not really a surprise,  Koeman was bought in under Bartomeu who has since lost control of the club.  Laporta is the new president and will want to bring his own guy in.    This will also be the first time Barcelona haven't finished 1st or 2nd in the league since Frank Rijkaard was manager all the way back in 2007/08.

There was no way Xavi was coming ahead of the 2022 world cup anyway. He's in Qatar to be one of the faces of the tournament.

Ah I can remember the other president candidate pretty much saying Xavi would be the coach so assumed Laporta had picked up the idea aswell.

Interesting who else they target as they rarely go for obvious candidates, Koeman probably more of an exception but was still more because he was a great player for them.

Luis Enrique going back there if Spain flop at the euros?
