Your ratings and reactions please. Keep it respectful even if you know everyone else is wrong.

A mod will add the players to the MoTM poll later.

It sounds almost spoilt to be irritated with a win and a clean sheet in horrible conditions but that was nn unbelievably wasteful performance. In the final third we were an abomination.

If we were playing anyone but the worst team in the league, we likely would have been punished.

However, we needed 6 points from these two games and we've got them. As far as that's concerned at least, its job done this week.

Commentator on radio actually said “this will seal a 2-0 win”. And we still missed.

Awful finishing , should have had six, thankful for the win.

Got the win which is better than last season's equivalent Vs Sheffield but sad as everyone else will give these a pasting by 3 or 4 goals and that will cost us

Like much of Villa's wins this season, tremendously unconvincing despite the three points. Southampton outside of one ot two exceptions played like the relegation fodder they'll almost certainly prove to be, but we didn't exactly manage to look levels above them in the process. Sums it up when the ball's being held up in the corner with a few minutes to go.

Would normally be of the mind that the main thing is winning the game and worrying about the performance later, though it remains a bit concerning that this has often been the case this season and we're this far into it.

As an aside, said it in the summer but if I'm Villa I'm seriously looking at Kyle Walker-Peters. Contract up in the summer and far too good for Southampton I think, thought he was the best player on the pitch today and would suit the way Emery wants to play better than every other right back option at the club currently.

Huge win. Harsh conditions, should have wone that by 5 or 6.

Ollie embarrassed himself today. Jhon needs to start.

The three points matter but we absolutely needed to improve the goal difference.
