Morgz will want to prove himself against Palmer so hopefully will be back on it. 2-1 to the Villa. I know! Those hands, maybe he was a decent goalie as a kid because he always looks like an accident waiting to happen.
479Villan Posted December 1, 2024 Posted December 1, 2024 (edited) At some point, the equilibrium has to tilt in favor of "using the experience you've gained playing against European opposition" against "exhaustion from playing multiple games." It's a game in London against a team that is going to be rusty from rest. 1-2 Villa on this one. In Unai We Trust. Also, I heard "I Don't Want to Go to Chelsea" while out to eat last night. In Little Rock, Arkansas. Edited December 1, 2024 by 479Villan 1
Zhan_Zhuang Posted December 1, 2024 Posted December 1, 2024 Difficult game to predict and that's why we love football. Villa need a performance now and importantly some points to keep in touch with those above us. UTV
Robtaylor200 Posted December 1, 2024 Posted December 1, 2024 No been to Chelsea since we lost in the cup, when Randy paid for the coaches. What a night, pity we lost by 4, (yes I am that old) But I saw enough Wednesday that we are looking at the defensive part of the game as we needed to, I reckon plenty of possession and nick it 1.0 1

A draw also keeps them just three points ahead of us, six points and a danger they start to go off into the distance so it's all about being strategic at this point in the season when things aren't really clicking for us. But isn't drawing all the time the reason we are indifferent, to a large extent? Bournemouth, Palace, Ipswich, Man U etc. If you look at last season. If you take a draw in any of Man City at home, Arsenal at home or Arsenal away, then the club definitely doesn't play champions league football this year, and possibly for decades, I don't know. Again. Do we take a draw v Bayern Munich at home this season? Bayern Munich are infinitely better than Chelsea. Plucky points away at Chelsea are fine but we'll finish 9th or 10th with that mindset.

Rogers is a massive, massive problem. Cannot pass, cannot control the ball, every attack breaks down when he has the ball. It's not just Rogers though . I feel that McGinn 's first thought when he gets the ball is stick his arse out and fall over ,slowing down our attacks aswell
BleedClaretAndBlue Posted December 1, 2024 Posted December 1, 2024 Back 4 need to be in sync with their line today or Neto, Palmer, Jackson & co will have a field day. Which is why Diego Carlos cannot play. Has to be Konsa & Pau
rjw63 Posted December 1, 2024 Posted December 1, 2024 (edited) Don’t like playing these (or spuds) because we have a habit of losing even when they’re off form (which they ain’t). The good news for you lot is I’m not listening on the radio so we might be ok. Edited December 1, 2024 by rjw63 think I got keenanitis

UTV To be fair it's one of the easier games to predict but I'm hoping for a solid villa performance and hopefully get something from the game
AndyM3000 Posted December 1, 2024 Posted December 1, 2024 I hope Onana is fit because we need to change something here. Emi Cash Konsa Pau Digne Bailey Kamara Onana McGinn Tielemans Watkins Could easily change Bailey/McGinn for Rogers/Jaden, all are equally poor at the moment and I'd even stick Maatsen as LM over them.

RicRic Posted December 1, 2024 Posted December 1, 2024 Konsa Mings Pau Digne That should be the back four today i could care less about what sided foot the CB pairing are just bloody play lol
bannedfromHandV Posted December 1, 2024 Posted December 1, 2024 (edited) We need a bit of luck, it’s deserted us recently to say the least, fingers crossed for today! Edited December 1, 2024 by bannedfromHandV
Herman22 Posted December 1, 2024 Posted December 1, 2024 This feels like a game where we could really do with Kamara and Konsa starting. I think Konsa is a better defender, especially when there is broken play. And we just need a proper DM to play the way we want to. Hopefully the starting 11 will be: Emi Cash Konsa Pau Digne Kamara Bailey Tielemans Rogers McGinn Watkins
AVTuco Posted December 1, 2024 VT Supporter Posted December 1, 2024 I wish I could be more positive about this game, but our defense is in shambles. We won't see much of the ball, so our chance is in the counters.
Herman22 Posted December 1, 2024 Posted December 1, 2024 Not against that starting 11 at all. Big performance needed from Philogene.
rubberman Posted December 1, 2024 Posted December 1, 2024 (edited) Big faith in Philogene. Hope he's up for it. Otherwise as expected. Edited December 1, 2024 by rubberman
