Would snap your hand off for a draw now.

Same as that. A draw is a good result there.

Something I've just noticed that really surprised me, Chelsea have only won two of their last six league games - I'd thought they were on a better run than that.

No Ramsey for Sunday but Onana possibly back in the squad.

Probably on the bench and then possibly back in for Kamara to deal with Brentford's physicality.

Given how Chelsea have exploited the high lines of West Ham, Brighton etc. already this season, I think (hope) we'll approach this game in a more pragmatic way, sit a bit deeper and look to hit them on the counter. We've generally played pretty well against better teams this season (even if the results haven't always reflected this). Having Konsa back will be a big plus as it feels like we're giving a goal advantage to the opponent whenever Diego Carlos is on the pitch. Hopefully Rogers - the ORIGINATOR of the chilly celebration - gets to bust it out again on Sunday (and not have it chalked off this time). I think a draw is attainable if we play with the same FOCUS that we seem to be reserving only for the Champions League at the moment (Mings' brainfart notwithstanding).

I really dont get this obsession with the view of taking a draw before these games are played.

The Juventus game the other night was the same. And that's what we got, a draw. Not a win. We still haven't won for ages. And its a fixture we have won the last two years!!

Really, really good side this year. Credit where it's due to Maresca, but every team in this league is hard to beat on their day. I've got to believe, and we could really do with a shock result right now for confidence going into Brentford and Southampton.

I have been impressed with them....Particularly in transition, where their Intensity and urgency has shone through.

They are sharp with their passing and decision making, and have a real outlet in Maduke, who takes players on for fun....relishing the challenge in the process.

Palmer too, does not play within himself, he pushes the boundaries, and takes the game to opponents, with a swagger.

They also have a decent balance to them, where they play as a team and seem to know where each other is.....They hurry opponents in to mistakes, and get after the ball very quickly.

In our current guise, it will be very difficult.....I only see a result if we can emulate some of the champions league style....If we go toe to toe, i.e too open......I think we may come unstuck.

But, I have said before and will say again, we can beat anyone, when we find our "A" game....This passive, slow, lethargic, version, where they look like some has run over the BMH cat...will not reignite the flame of desire.

As long as Cash doesn't scythe someone down/block with his arm and give away a pen I think we can come away with something from this. Morgz will want to prove himself against Palmer so hopefully will be back on it. 2-1 to the Villa.

I worry that Emery is becoming somewhat over cautious in his approach, especially against the so called top 6 contenders. I don't mind the defensive approach, but there has to be some offensive aspect to our approach. In the manner of the victory over Arsenal at Highbury last season. We must be braver in possession, and, more importantly, aware of how to make the most of our opportunities. That final ball is becoming such a frustrating side to our game. You can't wait for things to happen and hope for the best. Fortune always favours the brave, you can't succeed without confidence and self - belief. The players are obligated to go out there with the mindset of, " We can beat this lot" because they can. Nothing comes easy when you're not feeling confident. I really hope they can find the spark tomorrow that will reignite the positive traits that this team are currently short of. Please let it happen against this lot, it just may put us back together again.

Come on me Babbys!!

A win here would get us right back on track. We'll be up against it, yeah, but when aren't we? That's how I like it. It's got to happen at some point and I think it can happen here.

Come on boys! Buzzing for tomorrow.

Nothing to fear . Yes they are a good team but we need to get back on track and need to be positive. A draw wouldn’t be a bad result wether we are playing well or not so let’s hope we get at least a draw.

We could easily win this match. We will stop making stupid mistakes and start taking our chances at some stage. We might also get some much deserved luck at some stage too. That could easily all start tomorrow, particularly if Onana is back.

I don’t think we’ll lose this. I also think we’ll put in a good performance. Hopefully that will deliver three points. We are close to getting it right.

4-3 to the mighty villa, Last time I went here Lukaku grabbed a brace, hoping for a different result tomorrow. Else I’ll drink London dry 🤣

This could quite easily be another game conceding 3 or 4.

Rogers is a massive, massive problem. Cannot pass, cannot control the ball, every attack breaks down when he has the ball.

Good lad, that's the spirit...🤣

We have to be realistic, it's away and this is a part of the season where we're indifferent at best and Chelsea are far better to what they were 12 months ago when they were probably bottom half at this point in the season.

A draw also keeps them just three points ahead of us, six points and a danger they start to go off into the distance so it's all about being strategic at this point in the season when things aren't really clicking for us.

A draw would be a good result, and Chelsea might well beat us, they might even beat us comfortably on the day, but not sure why some are talking as if they're suddenly Manchester City or Liverpool at their peak level, they've only won half of their league games this season, and have taken less points at home than we have away, they've only won twice at home in the league all season

If you look at their results on an individual basis, they haven't actually done anything impressive, but they have been consistent across games for the most part in avoiding defeat

Another illustration of them not being world beaters is that they're only three points ahead of us, and some are talkinga as if we're having a disappointing season

All that's not to say I'm confident of getting a result, I think it's more likely we won't than will, but it's far from out of the question, as long as we can get five or six from the next three, then that will do, and should leave us still in a good position
