Balance down the right

Our squad balance is absolutely abysmal right now. Everytime our right winger gets the ball, they immediately get surrounded by three because there are no options on the right to punish such an overload.

All of our non winger attackers play down the left. Digne/Maatsen, Tielemans, Rogers and Watkins all down the left whilst the right winger is left with Konsa or Cash supporting who are rubbish going forward.

Something needs to change our attack is so one dimensional because of this

Last year we played Diaby or Tielemans as the 10 and they were consistent options for Bailey down the right. Instead now there is no one to pass to, instead our wingers have to go back or beat 4 men. It's the same as it was under Gerrard where Bailey was struggling where there was a wall of players he needed to beat.

Given that Cash continues to miss matches, that we need Konsa at CB, and that Unai doesn't trust Kosta, I'm beginning to think the answer is to play one of Digne or Maatsen on the right and one on the left. (Probably Maatsen on the right since Digne likes to cross more than take players on and he needs to be on the left to do that.)  I know that they're both left footed, but inverted fullbacks are trendy in some quarters these days. It would give us another attacking option on the right, and then you have one left footer who can cut in (i.e. Maatsen) and one right footer in front of him who can cross (Bailey or Philogene, who hopefully would improve with some support).

Nay, nay and thrice nay.

Can we just stop playing people out of position and put them where they're supposed to be. Its not difficult, loads of teams do it.

I'm all for versatility, but c'mon give the guy a chance....
