sidcow Posted October 31 VT Supporter Posted October 31 Just noticed we don't have any games left at VP before Remembrance Day. We haven't done the poppy on the shirt thing have we? We won't have the armed forces at Villa Park or the bugle player. I know Leicester did a ridiculously early one last week which was still before 2 home games which we have played. You might say it's just a timing thing however I was browsing The Poppy Shop online store the other day and I noticed that most if not all Premier League team had a club branded Poppy badge (not that I have any idea why you would want one, but there you are) but we didn't. So I was wondering if this is a deliberate snub by the club or just coincidence. And if so, could this cause negative publicity for us. Anyone heard anything?
sidcow Posted October 31 Author VT Supporter Posted October 31 Sorry Mods, just realised I posted this in off topic. I meant to put it in on topic though I guess it could be either. Please move if it's better elsewhere.
chrisp65 Posted October 31 Posted October 31 I’m sure I’ve seen a Villa poppy badge, didn’t someone comment we were late submitting a badge and they had put a year on it so you had to buy another next year?

Just checked again on The Poppy Shop and we are the only team missing. Could be an admin issue with the badge. It's just combined with the lack of anything in the Stadium it's odd. We even had mascots from service personnel families at the Bournemouth game with them all wearing poppies, but not the players. Edited October 31 by sidcow
Mark Albrighton Posted October 31 VT Supporter Posted October 31 Funny way for Heck to announce that he’s appointed James McClean as both head of merchandising and public relations. Spoiler 4
