If you had to manage a current Premier League club (other than Villa), which? Why?

What would you do first, apart from sacking yourself and finding a better manager?

If I had to, I'd take Everton. I feel like expectations are currently rock-bottom, and it's such an historically important club, I'd be excited (and terrified) about taking on the challenge. It's fun to think about how impossible it would be to suddenly step into a football management position, but somehow, Everton feels less intimidating than some, too.

Man United, sign a bumper contract, spend billions on players and then get sacked after a couple of seasons with a huge pay off 💰☀️

Bournemouth. I’d demand a stunning property around Sandbanks written into my three year contract. Hopefully get sacked within my first season, pay up my full contract and live like a king down south thereafter. Arry style 😁

That’s what I did at Man City on FM…

Except I left Villa to take over… proceeded to bankroll Villa for a load of their middling to not so good youth players (£120m for Sinisalo on a £500k/week contract - that kind of thing) and Gateshead (I started my career with them), sold all their players for f**k all, released all their back room staff and resigned a day after the transfer window shut without managing a single game for them…

Petty… yes

Satisfying… Even more so!

On topic…

Southampton.

Have lived in the New Forest since the mid 90s so grew up here.

They are my second team… Never been to a game mind… I don’t like them THAT much… but they are the only club I can think of in England that I like to see do well (as long as they aren’t playing the Villa)

City. I would inevitably be sacked in no time at all no matter which job I took, and City - assuming contract lengths were equal, which TBF may not be a safe assumption - would be the biggest pay-off.
