Jareth Posted September 14 Posted September 14 Man City will probs be thrown out by March so all we need is to be in contention for 2nd. reckon we have some cash in the bank for Jan window if needed, but the squad looks very good. Great first 4 games, the table doesn't lie. 1

Rightdm00 Posted September 14 Posted September 14 Maybe Haaland gets bored with the PL and seeks a new challenge in January. One can dream.
Jareth Posted September 15 Author Posted September 15 Nobody watches this team more than us. I think we are better than last season, when we hobbled into 4th with a seriously depleted squad. The season is young and of course the attention is elsewhere, but we find a way to win, and we have depth, I know we shouldn't curse it but we have the tools to do this. 1

When you consider our record last season in terms of leading the league in fewest points dropped having taken the lead - we've now taken the lead in 3 matches and won them all. We've come from 0-2 down (admittedly against a pretty poor Everton team who even at 2-0 up looked like they were playing to avoid getting thumped) when heads could easily have dropped. I still think that CL football will cause us some issues in the league - but it's been a great start and City aside I don't think anyone scares me. (Although I'd like to see us hammer Newcastle so we can forget about last season).
Don_Simon Posted September 15 Posted September 15 (edited) Woah, don't jump on the bandwagon now! I started the "Race for the Premier League 2024-2025" thread back in May! Edited September 15 by Don_Simon 1
Pinebro Posted September 15 Posted September 15 Im sorry but you can't concede as many goals as we do and consider yourself a title challenger I think top 6 would be another fantastic season
tinker Posted September 15 VT Supporter Posted September 15 We have the best strike force in the league, with that anything is possible. Get Mings back in for the physical games and Cash as well and we're very close. Top 4 looks likely anything after that takes a bit of luck. 1
