Popular Post useless Posted September 4 Popular Post Posted September 4 Aston Villa is pleased to announce that Owen Asemota has joined the club's Academy. An England youth international, the goalkeeper joins after leaving Arsenal. Academy Manager Mark Harrison is looking forward to seeing him progress in claret and blue. "We are delighted Owen has joined us," he said. "As you can imagine, a player with his profile was highly sought after. He is a player we believe has high potential, having also represented England. "He has very good athletic qualities and ball management skills, which really suit our style of play. We look forward to working with Owen and seeing how he develops over the next few years." avfc 5

useless Posted September 4 Author Posted September 4 We have a lot of keepers, but I think we were kind of short in the U18 category, Jack Allen and Sam Proctor the two options in that age group, but bearing in mind Proctor has already played at U21 level and played very well too, and has also been in a few first team squads, currently away with England U19s, so I think he will be getting more game time with the U21s this season But our U21 options are stacked, Zych, Lewis, Hammond, and Emery, as above Proctor will probably be an option at that level too, and if we rate him that highly Asemota himself could get a few matches, I wonder if Lewis or Hammond could go out on short-term loan to non league Asemota, Proctor, Lewis, Hammond, and Allen all eligible for the Youth League, i think we can register a squad of up to forty, so plenty of spaces
