Leeroy Posted August 31 Posted August 31 I would probably go: Martinez Konsa Mings Torres Maatsen Onana Kamara Bailey Tielemans Rogers Watkins Subs: Gauci, Nedejlkovic, Carlos, Digne, Barkley, McGinn, Buendia, Ramsey, Duran In reserve: Olsen, Cash, Bogarde, Dendoncker, Philogene A few things to add: Dependent on how good Mings is after his injury and at the age of 31 - if he gets back to his previous level, he's in the team for me Dropping the captain is a big call but I don't think McGinn starts any more - great option of the bench and for rotation though Harsh on Cash not even making the bench, but I feel Ned's potential is huge I think it shows we have a strong squad when everyone is fit and if we stay lucky with injuries we'll be ok - big if though 1
Powehi Posted August 31 Posted August 31 I'm not sure how popular your call on McGinn only making the bench will be on here, but for what it's worth I agree. Breaking up the Konsa - Torres partnership is the one I am not sure about. 1
Tayls Posted August 31 Posted August 31 (edited) Kamara is excellent but I fully expect him to be sold next summer - I reckon we brought in Onana to be the only DM type player that we need (plus cover from Barkley when needed as was his role at Luton). If you look at the team against Arsenal we had Rogers, Bailey, McGinn and Tielemans in the starting lineup - all generally more attack minded players. I don’t see how or why we would revert back to two DMs. Konsa needs to stay CB. So Kosta at RB. Edited August 31 by Tayls

We may well sell him next summer if we need a big profit sale (I hope we don't) but when he's fit he isn't going to be sitting on the bench. I imagine Onana will play more like a box to box midfielder with Kamara sitting deep.
Andy_10 Posted August 31 Posted August 31 Martinez Nedejlkovic Konsa Torres Maatsen Onana Kamara Bailey Rogers Ramsey Watkins Subs: Gauci, Cash, Mings, Digne, Barkley, McGinn, Tielemans, Philogene, Duran Pace, power, work-rate, creativity, etc.
JAMAICAN-VILLAN Posted August 31 Posted August 31 Slight off shoot. However last night I was thinking if Tyrone can come back to his best, there is a possibility for a seriously good 3 at the back unit in come games. Ty in the centre with Pau and Konsa either side Our CB Onana! 1
