What should be our starting and preferred CM partnership, at least until Kamara returns from injury?

I'd be amazed if anyone said anything other than Onana & Tielemans.

McGinn and Tielemans for me only because I wouldn't want Onana and McGinn to be in that 'first receiver' role from the GK. I think Tielemans is best at that but every game I see him play for all his wonderful turns out of trouble, at least once a game he gets robbed. I remember that only happening once to Luiz - away at brighton in a 2-1 win. So Tielemans needs to start in that position. That leaves us short in the DM position and although not his forte I think McGinn is better at it than Onana. Plus when he and Tielemans played together in that position last season they complimented each other well. I have no doubt it will be Onana and Tielemans that start and that does worry me.

Glad it wasn't just me trying to work out what the CM stood for in regard to our new Offical CM Partner of Aston Villa!!!!  All I'd got was Catering Marquee.....

I hope I’m wrong in a way, but a double pivot of onana and tielemans does not fill me with any confidence.  It is not Top 6 quality, let alone top 4, until Kamara is back i think we are going to struggle finding the right combination there.

Onana should play more on the left, IMO.  It appears that when Tielemans plays, O takes right and Y takes left.  Should swap to help Onana be more comfortable in that role/perspective.   That way h'es a head start when Kamara comes back.

Then when it's O and K on the CM, the back-ups are Tielemans, McGinn, and if desperate Barkley.

Baranechea should go on a short half season loan to get more experience and then become the first back-up in January.  He will be great and a strong choice, but he needs more experience

Onana and Tielemans seems nailed on. Nice to have options though. Barkley or McGinn can easily slot in as the more advanced and Barrenechea as the deeper one.

Amazed this question is being asked. There's only one right answer and over 15% of people got it wrong. 

The interesting one will be what happens when Kamara is fit. Hopefully he comes back with a vengeance and the form of the others makes it a real debate
