Who are your favourite current England players?

* Non-Villa players only. Multiple choices allowed.

NB: There are a few players I left off. Had to make the hard choice to leave them off this virtual trip to Europe, and some of them -- such as Ivan Toney -- are big names. Adam Wharton is another. System only allows for so many seats on the "plane."

Love Anthony "Ratboy" Gordon. Can't stand as opposition on Newcastle, but for some reason, in an England shirt, all is forgiven and I have only admiration at his work rate. Who don't love Saka? Great character. Kyle Walker is such a tough guy. Love his smashed-nose look and speed. Never seems to give up. Phil Foden -- just so talented. So fun to watch. I would have put Cole Palmer in, too, but I'd already chosen four, so I stopped with four.

Cole Palmer for me, he just gets on with it, seems to have his head screwed on the right way round. I'd love to see him play for the Villa.

His one-on-ones vs. Slovenia opened my eyes. I hadn't seen just how skillful he is on the ball. A magician.

Kyle Walker is definitely not a tough guy but is a scumbag

It's changed from years ago where I outright disliked a lot of the England team, now I'm not fussed either way, don't like or dislike them - Maguire, Phillips and Henderson being dropped helps 

I really rate Bellingham highly but I wouldn't go as far as to say I like him

I like Mainoo, just seems a tidy player, brave, with a lot of potential and not too much ego.

Jarrod Bowen is a style of winger that has disappeared from the game a bit, doesn’t do anything too tricky but knows how to beat his man, put in good crosses, etc and works hard. He’d do well here.

Obviously rate Kane, Bellingham, Foden, etc but can’t say any of them are that fun to watch or particularly likeable.

I liked Walker when he was on loan here, seems to have turned out to be a bit of a wrong un, but fantastic player.

Don't have favourites but ones I rate are Walker, Bellingham, Saka, Foden and Palmer. Not a fan of Kane. Grest goalscorer but prefer the Watkins type of forward.

I know it's Newcastle Arabia and they're a disgusting club, but I do give Howe a huge amount of credit for what he's turned Gordon into. At Everton I genuinely thought he was one of the worst PL players I've seen in many years, couldn't believe that transfer, but he's a different player these days.

Good thread, made me realise why I'm genuinely not arsed one bit whether we go home on Sunday or not. 

Scrolling down the list, and it's NO.. NO.. NOT HIM.. NO.. NO..

I suppose I don't mind the two Palace lads, that's about it. Eze is a good player to watch too, so probably him. Foden I also don't mind (detest his team).

For years though it was all about Grealish for me when England played, so maybe he's down as the "other"...
