Popular Post Shev Posted June 12 Visiting Supporter Popular Post Posted June 12 Hey all - Wycombe Wanderers fan here. On our forum we tend to get through the summers by having a vote on aspects of other clubs, with a daily vote process that takes about a month to get through. The first vote a few years ago was most likable EFL club, last summer was for the best crest of the 92, and this summer we have been voting on the best stadium of the 92 (Wycombe not included). The first round was 20 groups of 4 with only the winners going through. The 12 largest PL grounds received a bye, which included Villa Park. The 2nd round was 8 groups of 4 with only the winners going through to the head-to-head knockouts. Villa Park won a very strong Group 4 over Craven Cottage, St. James Park (Exeter) and the City Ground with a whopping 50.77% of the vote. Having vanquished some contenders, Villa Park went up against The Valley in the QFs, again winning easily against a contenders, 63.64%-36.36%. In the SFs, Villa Park trounced Selhurst Park, 77.36%-22.64%. In the final, Villa Park faced Hillsborough, and won by 65.67%-34.33%. So congratulations - a very small group of Wycombe fans have voted Villa Park as the best stadium in the land - sorry to inform you that it does not get better than this! A couple of quotes: "Glad Villa Park made it to the final. Adams Park aside it's my favourite ground. I just think it's a beautiful ground inside and out. Modernised but still awash with character and elegance." "Voted for Villa Park, primarily because I find the entrance to the Holte End truly impressive. Walking up those steps to enter the ground really feels like entering something special." I assume you all love your ground as much as neutrals do? 52 18

JPAngel Posted June 13 Posted June 13 I am not being remotely sarcastic here - I am chuffed. We obviously love our stadium but it's really nice to see it appreciated by neutrals too and I'm not sure why 1

withes_shin Posted June 13 Posted June 13 I guess we win a trophy that is smaller than the Ashes urn!

What a lovely post to read when all the other news around is negative PSR, selling players, and Man City cheating. We might be biased, but we definitely feel the same, and I'd argue the fact you do means we'd be right! 2
bielesibub Posted June 13 Posted June 13 I love this, thank you @Shev. Got to feel gutted for Blose, St Andrews must have been knocked out in the qualifying stages, such a shame. UTV.

They had to enter at the first group stage, and only received 7.79% of the vote, coming last in a group with Hillsborough, New Meadow (Shrewsbury) and Boundary Park (which was allowed in as a replacement for our own ground despite not being in the EFL). I have not had the heart to tell them and crush their dreams. Mind you, we play them in League One next season, so I could tell them face to face? Edited June 13 by Shev 4 1 2

I'm now keen to know who won the best crest in the 92? I'm guessing it wasn't us, as we seem to be releasing a new crest every season... it's all making sense now.

I'm told by so many neutrals VP is their favourite stadium yet so many fans on here think it's a shit hole. And they genuinely don't believe you when you say that's not what you hear elsewhere.
