Only 1 year left on his contract at Juve and only started 4 games for them last season. Young and English thou so I guess that might inflate his value.

Out of all this swap deal stuff, this lad is the potential silver lining.

young and plays for England under 21s, so there’s definitely something about him, hopefully it’s a lot of potential

If the Moreno stuff is true then he might be learning to very soon. Or at least LWB

admittedly don't know much about him but he plays the same kind of role as ramsey, rogers and bunedia doesnt he?

as in signing him puts us in a better position to let ramsey go (booooooooo) but doesn't help fill the gaping hole left by luiz

Actually, yes.

The Moreno news might not be a coincidence.

Looks like he’s going to a more deeper player, potential LWB, to replace Alex moreno… who appears to be angling for a move back to Spain

This will be similar to the Rogers signing, Emery will turn him into a star.  If Brighton or Palace were signing him, it would be hailed as an astute signing and we'd be moaning why we don;t sign players like this.

He's more of a classic winger type. Similar to Moreno but more offensive. Could definitely be converted to an attacking fullback (has already played that role). Wouldn't say he's a threat to Ramsey.

He would be if he plays in the LM position, where Ramsey plays.

Just speculation but I think he's more likely to play in Moreno's position, with Ramsey (or whoever) ahead of him drifting inside to open up space.

Playing him in Ramsey's position would mean adjusting the entire balance of the squad because Illing Junior plays nothing like Ramsey, Rogers, Buendia. But he plays a lot like Moreno and would slot in seamlessly in that role.
