VillaChris Posted October 27, 2023 Posted October 27, 2023 Meh boring. Spurs barely done anything and they're 2-0 up. Palace completely toothless in the final third so good time to play them in the season really.

ender4 Posted October 27, 2023 Posted October 27, 2023 Just now, VillaChris said: How many were they ahead of us after we lost to Arsenal.... That’s very different. They now have a good manager and are on a great run of form.
HongKongVillan Posted October 27, 2023 VT Supporter Posted October 27, 2023 I can see why both Johnstone and Guehi keeps getting that England call up, because they are both shite

Must not lose away to them though. They're a good team no question. However I find it hard to believe team starting Richarlison week after week is going to waltz to about 80 points this season. Bissouma also been off it tonight. If he gives it away to us as much as he's done tonight in final third then we will exploit that. Palace just have little in final third so they are limited to what they can do. Ayew's been their best forward by a mile which sums their limitations up nicely. 1
PaulC Posted October 27, 2023 Posted October 27, 2023 Palace are awful but all credit to Spurs post Kane it's a remarkable first quarter of the season for them. 1
villan95 Posted October 27, 2023 Posted October 27, 2023 Not seen the game tonight but Spuds have been so fortunate this season. Got a horrible feeling that Liverpool 'goal' is going to be crucial.
Pongo Waring Posted October 27, 2023 Posted October 27, 2023 Spurs have done incredible. Unbeaten after 10 games. 7 points above Villa.
VillaAlex Posted October 27, 2023 Posted October 27, 2023 Spurs have had a large amount of luck a favourable fixture list and Maddison being the best player in the league. This won't sustain they deserve to be top 4/5 but no chance they'll finish anywhere near the top 2. Few injuries and they really lack depth.
MWARLEY2 Posted October 27, 2023 Posted October 27, 2023 You cannot say anything other than well done. 10 games in and unbeaten . 8 wins. If we are judging ourselves as contenders for champs league then they seem to be one of the 5 we will have to finish in front of. And if we are judging ourselves on our form being the best we can remember in recent times then theirs is even better. Luck has got nothing to do with it . Even if Liverpool had beaten Spurs they would be 4 points ahead of us . Spurs are the real deal. And do not forget Ange is unbeaten in the league at home since he came to Celtic . 1
VillaAlex Posted October 27, 2023 Posted October 27, 2023 Saying that they've recruited well. The Dutch CB, Udogie, Vicario and Maddison all look good signings and improvements on what they had previously. 4
Xela Posted October 27, 2023 Posted October 27, 2023 Spurs are less unlikeable now. Amazing what a nice guy as manager can do to perceptions. 2

Was constantly diving in last season and getting booked, now playing much calmer and gelled very well with Van Der Hoom. I said pretty consistently last few months of last season Spurs were in a bit of denial with Kane and needed to cut the umbilical cord with him. No way would Maddison have made the impact he's had so far if Kane was still there dropping deep and picking up the ball in central positions so that has worked out well in terms of timing. GingerCollins29 Posted October 27, 2023 Posted October 27, 2023 Talksport will be full of it tonight, running with the headline is this tottenhams year? 1
PaulC Posted October 27, 2023 Posted October 27, 2023 Good luck to Spurs. All we have to do is take care of own results and not bother about other teams. Who is ahead at this stage doesn't matter. When we go there next month we are going to need to produce a really good performance. 2

He is a good manager and has no doubt improved them, but for the media to start suggesting they are title challengers is utter drivel
