WallisFrizz Posted September 18, 2023 Posted September 18, 2023 I agree with VAR, it did look like a deliberate handball.
Villatillidie95 Posted September 18, 2023 Posted September 18, 2023 Burnley need to get at least a draw tonight, it will do wonders for their confidence!
HongKongVillan Posted September 18, 2023 VT Supporter Posted September 18, 2023 So Foster sent off for an elbow on a forest defender who was getting hold of him in the box. So, should that be a peno to Burnley first, then red for foster? Or am I overthinking this?
Davkaus Posted September 18, 2023 Posted September 18, 2023 I don't think there's anywhere near enough in it to give a penalty to Burnley, he's just getting close to his man, can't see a foul there

bobzy Posted September 19, 2023 Posted September 19, 2023 Think that attacking group of Gibbs-White, Hudson-Odoi, Elanga and Awoniwi will cause teams problems this season. Good point for Burnley.
The_Steve Posted September 19, 2023 Posted September 19, 2023 Handball against Berge is legitimate. Kompany is distracting from the fact that his team isn't very good and will struggle to cope with the league.
sne Posted September 19, 2023 Posted September 19, 2023 58 y.o Newcastle supporter stabbed in Milan ahead of the CL game. No serious injuries thou. Still unclear if it was football related according to local police. 1
Marka Ragnos Posted September 19, 2023 VT Supporter Posted September 19, 2023 I'd be delighted today to see ... Newcastle lose. Man City lose (unlikely) Celtic win.
PaulC Posted September 19, 2023 Posted September 19, 2023 I thought Burnley were a bit unlucky and Kompany was very honest an didnt blame the officials unlike what a lot of other managers would have done. Still a good point for them.
stewiek2 Posted September 19, 2023 Posted September 19, 2023 (edited) Newcastle not in Milan's faces like possessed smackheads. Guess they forgot to pack Eddie Howes special supplement mix. Edited September 19, 2023 by stewiek2 1
AVFCDAN Posted September 19, 2023 Posted September 19, 2023 Newcastle massively under the cosh, welcome to the champions league.
Marka Ragnos Posted September 19, 2023 VT Supporter Posted September 19, 2023 (edited) Completely fascinating to see AC Milan's accordion-like tactical approach. The offense and midfield move forward but defense stays back. Leaves a big gap but has killed off some of Newcastle's efforts to get behind on counters before they can even get started. Milan seems to be blending strategies wisely and conserving energy with some clever man-marking instead of running end to end. Edited September 19, 2023 by Marka Ragnos

Marka Ragnos Posted September 19, 2023 VT Supporter Posted September 19, 2023 (edited) Jesse Marsch showing up in MIlan as commentator in a suit and tie etc. He's really intelligent. I could handle more of that. He may be better at this than running Leeds. Kate Abdo, Thierry Henry, Jamie Carragher and Micah Richards on CBS are kind of awkward. Henry seems to be giving Richards some exasperated looks, bit of a personality clash? Edited September 19, 2023 by Marka Ragnos 1
