hopefully us, Newcastle and maybe Brighton can get a fair share of contentious decisions now that we are more competitive. It’s the least we can expect.

So you don't mind the fact it's not a level playing field as long as we're amongst the haves and not the have nots? I admire the honesty.

hi Sheepy. Personally, I do want all things to be fair & equitable but I think we can all see that is not how it works in the Premier League.

I just hope we have now got to a position where decisions do not automatically go to “them”.

I was delighted with the performance of todays referee who did not just buckle to the pressure of the crowd or an expectation that things should go to the “bigger” team.

one for all and all for one!😀

Refereeing performance was atrocious. For both teams I might add.

Their disallowed goal was not offside, by the current laws of the game.

There is no way that game warranted 19 minutes of injury time.

There is no way Fabinho should have been allowed to continue making those game destroying fouls for an entire half without getting booked.

Overall,  the decisions probably evened themselves out, but that was horrific refereeing.

Feel like we should have won, but if you'd offered me these results at the start of the day I'd have definitely been happy with them.

Great performance from us, decent result, shame it wasn't more.

After the disappointment of losing our lead in the 90th minute and not getting it back (like old times), I've just realised something crazy... We've just gone 14 PL matches in a row without conceding more than one goal in any of them, haven't we?!

What an amazing feat! It wouldn't surprise me if we've never acheieved that before.

I keep saaying this but I'll say it again ...... BRIGHTON ARE IRRELEVANT !

We make Europe in 7th, not 6th. Our battle is with Spurs and Brentford ..... NOT Brighton !

I'm so impressed by how adamant you are about being wrong.

Brighton are relevant until they beat Southampton. 6th is Europa. 7th is Euro Conference. There's a difference between the two.

Brighton draw against Southampton (who recently drew with Arsenal before they were shit) and Man City, and then 6th is in Villa's hands going into the last game.

In the end, unfortunate for Konsa, Mings and Martinez to concede. They had been great all game - especially given the crowd, the occasion and a referee that allowed Fabinho to do as he pleased - but were undone by Ramsey dropping behind their excellent defensive line and playing Firminho on.

Still - thoroughly enjoyed that. Given the injuries we suffered and the ridiculous amount of extra time it was one of our best results. Loving how good we look on and off the ball.

Corruption in our league could not be any clearer.

I agree there's corruption going on. But my head can't comprehend why they didn't allow their goal by saying Ramsey did a deliberate action.  Not least because he clearly did consciously attempt to get something on the ball.

The rule is complete bollocks and needs changing, but by the rules it was a goal. They need to get rid of the deliberate action rule anyway...because if Ramsey knew he was getting the ball played into him having been in an offside position he wouldn't make that attempted block, and has to attempt to do something in case he is onside. Punishing that is just not logical.

But yes, by current rules,  that was a valid goal.

It was definitely a strange offside decision having seen it on MOTD. I thought initially that it was a blatant offside from the initial ball in but that wasn't the case. It was the nodding back of the ball into Ramsey and it deflecting back to a Liverpool player that was offside. I think technically it was offside (if we assume Ramsey was't deliberately playing the ball), but I don't think it should be really because it just seemed like random luck that it ended up at the Liverpool player's feet.

Not that I'm complaining about Liverpool getting a decision go against them of course, they absolutely deserve that after some of the decisions they've been getting. I just mean in general I don't think that scenario should have been an offside.

I explained it above, but i think it should be offside (but it isnt under the correct interpretation of the current rules).

The offside player is interfering with Ramseys decision making.

Therefore he is interfering with play. It absolutely should be considered offside...but the rules say because Ramsey deliberately tried to block the ball that the previously offside player can now be considered onside.

It's just such an arbitrary way of handling the offside call that massively penalises the defending team. Maybe they want to encourage more goals, but it doesn't sit right with me.

Either way, that call went our way when it very easily, and probably, shouldn't have. Its a small recompense for the dismal referees we've had over the last 8 weeks or so.

I'm only surprised Klopp didn't moan about it after the game. He's such a bad loser..and they didn't even lose.... Except their ability to play in the CL next season 🤭

The amount of 15yo Liverpool fans on social media saying "the ball was nowhere near it" because they're judging the incident on stills of the footage and didn't watch the game is insane. Mings got let off because he got the ball so cleanly, well prior to the contact, and had his eyes on the ball the whole time.

The way I saw it, Gapko fell into Tyrone's foot to try and buy a foul.

It wasn't even a yellow IMO.

Huge shout out to the ref.

Best impartial performance for a long time.

not what we are used to at an away match with the Sky6!

Surprised to see this.

Thought he was awful and heavily favoured Liverpool.

They should have had 5 yellows first half chopping down our breakaways.

They continually fouled us and threw us down to get the ball.

Then he gave the silly never a foul dives when a defender is under pressure to both sides, moreso to them.

I was just telling my 8 year old who was a bit disappointed that if Steven Gerrard was in charge today we'd have been pumped 10-0 whilst he was on his knees giving Klopp the dirtiest, sloppiest blow job you've ever seen.  You know those horrible pornos where the girls eyes are streaming with tears and mascara?  He'd be like that, but on repeat, for 90 minutes.

He didn't really understand what the **** I was going on about, so I just told him to stfu and be happy, the spoilt gobshite. UTV
