Any word on Digne/Moreno?

I hope we don't put McGinn left-back or something for such a big game - has to be Young if they're out.

Moreno has had surgery and is out and could miss pre-season. Digne is in the training pictures on the official site, so should be in the squad for Sunday.

4 years ago we had one of the biggest games in the clubs recent history, the play off final v Derby.

I felt so nervous about this as Wembley was never a happy place for me as I had only ever been able to see Villa win once at Wembley and that was the 1975 league cup win v Norwich.

This time it feels a bit different for me as I obviously want us to win and grab that last Europe place, not as much for me, but for the players. They have had a rubbish start to the season under the "fraud" and it looked like another struggle to avoid relegation, and now under the new boss they look more "together", a true "team" that are now integrated into a system that works and look like they are enjoying playing for the Villa and the new boss.

I want them to win, to get that last European place because they deserve it..

I'm normally pessimistic about the Villa by default, but weirdly, that day at Wembley I was totally relaxed and confident that we'd win. Tomorrow? I dunno.

Exactly where I am. We were miles better than Derby and had spanked them twice that season already. We were up the minute Leeds dropped the ball. This time it’s all there for us but we are playing against a very very good side. So dunno.

Felt like that all the way through this run though and we’ve done OK! Turns out Unai doesn’t need our magical thinking. He’s already taken care of it.

Blimey the Brighton fans despise us 😳 just had a wonder round one of there fans furoms & they want Spurs to get conference league as we're an entitled bunch & spurs on the other hand are more realistic about where they are in the table & know there place. 😳 i kid you not 🤦‍♂️

Probably our biggest home Premier League game in the last ten years or so. Brighton are very very good but they do have the odd hiccup like Everton at home recently. I’m sure the atmosphere will be electric and the 12th man could really play a part here. Couple of places up for grabs but the rest pick themselves. Cash or Young and Buendia or Bailey? Really is a toss of a coin. Emery will have been working on this for a week and I expect him to find a way to win the game:

                           Martinez

  Cash       Konsa           Mings       Digne

                  Kamara         Luiz

        McGinn                       Ramsey

                Buendia
                                 Watkins

Subs:  Olsen, Sinisalo, Young, Carlos, Chambers, Dendoncker, Bailey, Traore, Duran

If we can recreate or better the Newcastle atmosphere then perhaps we’ll see a similar performance from the players? I’m optimistic and think we’re gonna do this. 3-1 win. UTV

You mean probably about 10 keyboard warriors. I expect the vast amount of them don't give 2 sh*ts about us, other than it's a nice away day. 25 odd years ago they nearly went out of the football league so this is probably their best season in their entire history.

Yeah they hate us. Although I had a chat with a fan recently and he was full of respect for us.

I think online fans are a different breed to real life fans. Maybe it’s the anonymity of the internet, or maybe we just aquatint ourselves with decent folk in real life, but I rarely meet people that share the same foolish opinions that I see online.

Oh the irony of posting this online.
