Fist time I have voted Unai as a poor performance. Baily on far too long and Moreno should be starting ahead of Digne

Enjoyable game, result aside. 

Buendia MotM, even if he faded towards the end. Moreno is a very good option to have when we need a goal. Both he and Digne cost us defensively though.

Alongside them, Kamara, Mings and Emi1 had costly errors in them. Maybe Kamara needs a bit of rest.

Playing out from the back will take time, there’s just no excuse for the casualness of it. Experienced players out of position for goals.

The offside call on Phil makes no sense

Saw about seventy-five minutes of the game....

A really sloppy performance and seemed to gift them two goals at least. Yet the match statistics have Villa dominating every area except the scoreline.

Pity we had a real opportunity to be in the top ten with a win. So frustrating.

Emery also has to re-evaluate as in the build-up he said this would be a good performance from us. Defending was poor from Villa.

Thought Luiz and Buendia were the best players on the pitch.

Kamara had a stinker.

Defence absolutely pathetic.

At 3-2 Bailey Watkins and Coutinho all had chances they could and maybe should have scored. 

At least done much better with. Watkins too many touches, Bailey tried to place it inexplicably, coutinho needed to hit the target at the very least.

I don't understand how it was offside. Didn't it come of a leicester defender who tried to play the ball?

Always strange results in footy, Everton beat Arsenal and since when is 3-0 classed as a thrashing. I'm still feeling fairly positive, we can see improvements and what we're trying to do. We'll need some better players too but we are going in the right direction

That was my reading of it. The officials in this league are dog shit. It got us back in the game and was chalked off for reasons that make utterly no sense.

Agree with the offside call. How can Iheanacho's goal stand despite running back from an offside position and the Phil's get disallowed? Exactly the same thing happened.

Not a single defensive player had a good game. That includes Kamara and Martinez, who made his first save in the 94th minute. Every other attempt on goal was a goal.

Also singling out Bailey and Ramsay for being poor in that game.

The real issue? We looked pretty good - but had so many players having bang average games that we gifted the a win.

Our player had a shot and it deflected off the defender. Dougie had plenty of time to get onside.

They played at pace which suited most of the team except for Kamara.

Villa looked like a team that can either attack or defend but not in the same game.

As usual the finishing was lacking for a number of decent half-chances.

Villa were bad but not desperately so.

It looks like we will have to be happy with finishing half-way, as has become the tradition.
